are planning several 20TB+ systems.
For the work we do a single file system over 100TB is not
unreasonable. We will be replacing a 80TB SAN system based
on StorNext with a Isilon system with 10G network
connections.
If there was a way to create a Linux (Centos) 100TB ?
500TB or larger clustered file system with the nodes
connected via infiniband that was easily manageable with
throughput that can support multiple 10Gbps Ethernet
connections I would be very interested.

LVM problems
Hi!
Folowing setup:
4x HD 500TB
1st: /boot 4GB, remaining part LVM
2nd, 3rd, 4th all LVM
LVM volumes:
- 30G /root
- 8G /var
- 8G /tmp
- 200G /var/log/pgsql
- 800G /var/spacewalk
- 4G swap
System boots into emergency mode because it does not find any of the
logical volumes defined, because it does not enable the LVM volume

So, I''ve read the wikipedia, and have done a lot of research on google about it, but it just doesn''t make sense to me. Correct me if I''m wrong, but you can take a simple 5/10/20 GB drive or whatever size, and turn it into exabytes of storage space?
If that is not true, please explain the importance of this other than the self heal and those other features.
