Earlier last year I had a 5.7 system running with skype. It worked fine. Later last year I had to reinstall my entire system. I didn't install skype then. Yesterday I tried to find a version of skype to use on 5.7, but couldn't find one on skype.com; there's no version for RH/CentOS 5.7. Does anyone know where a working skype can be found? Thanks.

Are the 5.7 source RPMs going to be mirrored to http://www.<my favorite mirror>/centos/ 5.7/os/SRPMS/ and http://www.<my favorite mirror>/centos/ 5.7/updates/SRPMS/ as was the case for the previous releases ? My box did upgrade itself automatically from the initial 5.5 DVD installation to 5.7 How can I tell if my box has been automatically upgraded from 5.7 to 5.8 please? I see the CentOS-CR.repo is still in my /etc/yum.repos.d/ directory. Is that repo responsible for doing the automatic upgrades for Centos 5.x? Kind Regards, Keith Roberts

I am using old Xen Rpms which comes with RHEL 5.5 . xen-3.0.3-105.el5. I am running Ubuntu 11.04 Full Virt on this. But after a gap of 2 or 3 days this VM gets shutdown automatically. I have 3 servers 2 of which run CentOS 5.5, and one with 5.7. I was able to easily upgrade the PHP version to PHP 5.3.8 on the CentOS 5.5 boxes but was thwarted on the 5.7. Does anyone have any tips for how to get PHP 5.3.x installed on CentOS 5.7?
