Per a discussion with an Internet2 professor this PM: ACHTUNG: Note the repo is apparently without SRPMs so it becomes difficult to vet. Further, no mirrors have been spotted, which is not to say there

CentOS 5.10: Upgrading from IUS's php52 to CentOS's php53 questions
I would like to update one of the websites on my server from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3.2, but it wants PHP 5.3. I am currently using IUS's php52 5.2.17, which is fine for the Joomla 1.5 and the various WordPress sites (up to 3.9) currently served on this server. I plan to test the update procedure on my home (test) system (a pretty much identically setup system) before possible breaking my

install specific version using yum

Here's what I've tried so far [root at ec2-50-17-114-126 ~]# yum install php-5.2.17-1.w5.i386 Loaded plugins: fastestmirror Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile * addons: yum.singlehop.com * base: mirror.rackspace.com * epel: nas1.itc.virginia.edu * extras:

CentOS 5.5 php configure errors
I am attempting to install odbtp on my newly created lamp server running CentOS 5.5 and php 5.2.17. The odbtp compile failed looking for lots of zend related files supposedly in the php install dir. I learned from the odbtp project forum that I need to run configure in the php source directory. So I downloaded the php 5.2.17 source and ran ./configure and got these results: root at myserver

rpm/yum/repo issue - Error: Package tuple could not be found in packagesack
Hi guys, I've been working on a yum repo for PHP 5.2 and today I wanted to update it[1], however on a test machine using my PHP packages (e.g. php-common-5.2.16-1nux) a yum update to the new RPMs with version 5.2.17 gives the following error: "Error: Package tuple ('php-common', 'i386', '0', '5.2.17', '1nux') could not be found in

CentOS 5 Testing repo
We were using the CentOS 5 testing repo on dev.centos.org to update our webservers' PHP to 5.2. However, we've just tried building a new machine lately and found that the repo seems to be empty. Is this a temporary fault, or has it gone away now that CentOS 6 is out? If it has gone away, where can I grab PHP 5.2 packages from? Thanks. -- Spiro Harvey Knossos

apache 2 and php 5.2
Hi originally I installed php 4 on centos 5.5 and then a few repos including the remi repo to upgrade to php5, which seems to upgrade/work without any issues. However when I make a change to the /etc/php.ini file it doesn't look like apache is seeing it, for example if I change the post_max_size and upload_max_file to 25M each apache still sees the default 2M. I also removed the /etc/php.ini

I have followed all the INSTALL and README instructions that came with the odbtp package including the README.64bitOS file. There has got to be a

PHP and PHP53
Greetings, We have someone requesting the use of Wordpress 3.3.1. It requires PHP 5.2 minimum. Currently, our machine is running CentOS 5.7. What are the issues/concerns in upgrading from PHP 5.1 (the current PHP rpms) to PHP53? Much thanks, Max Pyziur pyz at brama.com

files automatically changing permissionssdsds
hello, I'm running apache 2.2.24 and php 5.2.17. The web site that it's service turns into a 403 Forbidden error every 5 minutes literally. I've found that doing a chmod -Rv 775 on the web root restores the site. However this is a band-aid and no real solution. I've combed through all the cron jobs in /var/spool/cron both on this machine and the one it was recently transferred
