Hi; I'm looking for CentOS 5.0 x86_64 dvd iso (preferably not torrent); must be 5.0 All my web searches have come up with more recent versions of 5.x, not 5.0. Can someone give me a URL I can wget with? I'd even be willing to throttle down the wget). Thanks, Ken Wolcott

[lld] bug detecting undefined symbols in shared libraries
I have a test case where lld-5.0 fails to detect an undefined symbol (this bug also happens with clang/lld 4.0). I haven't narrowed down exactly all the circumstances when this can occur, but in this case it was for a virtual method in a class defined in a shared library. If I build the executable with the raw object files, the linker notices the missing method (see test1 vs test2). This

Help needed: strange issue with share mapping at logon
Hello all, I've run into an issue while migrating a client's Samba PDC from Debian 3.x to OpenSuSE 10.3, have been beating my head against it for over a week, and am now turning to the mailing list for help. We're running Samba 3.0.26a-3-1478-SUSE-SL10.3 authenticating against OpenLDAP 2.3.37. Integration of Samba and OpenLDAP works, and importing the 2000+ existing user accounts

Artifacts on external monitor with Optimus and GK107 on Thinkpad W530
Hi there, last week I installed Ubuntu Gnome 14.04 on my Thinkpad W530. It has the following specifications: Intel Core i7-3820QM Intel HD 4000 and nVidia Quadro K2000M 15,6" FHD RGB 1920x1080 With "Optimus" enabled in the BIOS, I am able to use the external monitor via VGA-1-2. But there are refresh problems only on the external monitor: Mouse traces, parts of a window remain on

Centos 5.1 distro: How to upgrade 5.0 to 5.1 with yum??
Hi, Redhat announced RHEL 5.1 on Nov 07, so hopefully CentOS 5.1 will be ready shortly. But I get kind of nervous of the arrival of 5.1. My problem is: I have hundreds Centos 5.0 boxes just finished installation and I will continue to install and upgrade hundreds more in next few months. With the arrival of Centos 5.1, I don't like to reinstall them anymore but continuous upgrade instead

[R/S] strange
Dear R and S People: I have run across something very strange. Here is a function that I wrote for R: boot1 <- function(y,method="f",p=1) { n1 <- length(y) n2 <- n1*p n3 <- n2 - 1 a <- 0.5*(outer(1:n3,1:n3,function(x,y){n2 - pmax(x,y)})) return(a) } and here is the R output: > y1 [1] 9 8 7 3 6 > source("boot1.R") > boot1(y=y1,p=4) [,1] [,2]

[lld] bug detecting undefined symbols in shared libraries
With shared libraries, it is always possible that you end up running with a different set of libraries than you actually linked with. However, how often is that actually the case? It seems at the very least there should be an option to tell the user that unless they switch libraries, their code won't be runnable. In most cases, everything is available to the linker to detect the situation

CentOS5 consistent media check failures 2 - 6.
Folks, As much as I hate to, I feel I need to post my long story and ask help. Shortly after the release announcement, I kicked off rtorrent and downloaded the CD and DVD images. Since my cable provider does my "throttling", I disabled throttling and shared for several days, "returning" several GBs at no objectionable loss I could discern. While that was going on, I used

datetime fixture format for Mysql 5.0
Hi All: I develop on several machines, most have Mysql 4.* and one has Mysql 5.0. On 4.*, the following erb for a fixture works fine: updated_at: <%= 1.days.ago.to_s:db%> But fails on 5.0. I had a similar deal when I had date fixtures, and switched forrmats so that both 4.* and 5.0 were happy. is there to_s:db_works_for_mysql_50() ? or similar? Thanks Forrest

short plots: lwd, margin and postscript behavior
Hi all. I'm working with a short plot (3x3 inches), but the results (via postscript command) are not nice. The lwd command don't affect the lines (that are very large) and the margins don't change using oma, mai, mar, ... Below I put an example. Moreover, save the graphics via postscript command isn't working well (see the attached ps). Thanks by the help, Cezar Freitas.

"yum --security" and staying with 5.0
Hello, So I've watched a few threads about the new 5.0 vs. 5.1 upgrade and have a couple of (hopefully) practical questions about this: Context - I'd like to stick to 5.0 at least for a while until the dust around 5.1 settles down (and I'm back from holidays). As an example - In Debian, as long as I stick to "stable" I can be sure that the only updates I receive there are
