Icecast 2 on ubuntu 14 - service will not start using /etc/init.d
...not sure what I other than start the service manually, stopped it using the /etc/init.d/icecast2 stop. Then, I checked to see if it was still 'active and running' and it wasn't. I ran /etc/init.d/icecast2 start and it started. Thanks for the pointers. icecast2 will not start from the /etc/init.d
I can start it fine from the command line using icecast -c icecast.xml we have ver 2.4. When I try and start it using /etc/init.d/icecast2 start it says [ ok ] Starting icecast2 (via systemctl): icecast2.service. but it actually doesn't start. nothing in the error logs, nothing in syslog. Any ideas would be appreciated. Nick
