Fn textfile background
Hello, In doc/menu.txt: "F1 textfile [background]" I am trying the second optional parameter using 640x480 x 4bits color depth png's. Should I be using a different file format? Or a different color depth? Or specific colors? Which versions are supposed to support the second optional parameter, "background", from menu.c32? I have tried (and failed) with (menu.c32) v.3.86 and v.4.07. Or, perha...

IPv6 priority in tc filter
...} According to RFC2460 for IPv6 (http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc2460.txt), the first 4 bits of the packet are the version number and the subsequent 8 bits are the traffic class. Shouldn''t the u32 filter be matching against the 8 bits of the traffic class, not the 4bit version+first 4bits of traffic class? The reason this is relevant is because I am trying to match EF traffic with a tc filter command: tc filter add dev eth2.1070 parent 10: protocol ipv6 prio 1 u32 match ip6 priority 0xb8 0xff flowid 10:1 i.e. 0xb8 for EF. This, however, does not match my EF packets. If I send...

Try using WavPack, http://www.wavpack.com/ This can losslessly compress 32-bit floating point WAVE-EX files, and faithfully preserves every chunk (which FLAC does not do). It is also free. [Bridge] port priority bits
...only have any effect for values 0 to 63 (on 2.6.12.3 and using bridge-utils 0.9.6). It seems the port priority has been handled as 6 bits since this: http://lists.osdl.org/mailman/htdig/bridge/2004-April/000274.html On page 322 of the book, it describes it as originally 8 bits, then changed to 4bits with 802.1t (in 2001). I'm not sure if there has there been any movement/talk on working on conformance with 802.1t, but I wonder if it would be good to go with one of the two standards. In 802.1t, it seems that the bridge priority was changed from 16 bits to 4 bits, with changes for port c...

...he song, and you add back the frames from the pool to the song. I haven't experimented yet, but let's say I try to correlate frames with the song, and I get something like 20 near-repeats, I may end up with a very silent "song leftover", still as long as the song, but maybe in 4bits worth or something? But it would also have bumps of original audio (that didn't find any matching frame). The thing is, I don't really know how FLAC compresses so I don't know if it would compress the "leftover" so much better. And I don't really know how much matching...
