Use EPEL without redirection ?
Hi, Is there any way to deactivate the redirection to a mirror when using the third-party EPEL repository ? Our network uses a transparent HTTP/HTTPS proxy with a local AC. We can create exceptions for sites like centos.org or download.fedoraproject.org, but whenever we want to install a package from EPEL, the mirror redirection causes an error due to redirection. Any suggestions ? Niki --

Create or Update Model with JSON?
Having issue updating a model with JSON. I simply *"model.attributes=json"*, which does update the attributes but not the id, or uuid in this case. I want to save or create the record (if it''s id exists). Seems like this would be documented, but I''m not finding anything. I''m using a MOM to pass JSON between apps. Thanks. -- You received this message because

--chmod for destination only
Is it possible to set the permissions on the destination side? As I understand it, --chmod just pretends certain permissions are coming from the sending side. I'd like to be able to set permissions to readonly in the destination while coming from a --copy/link-dest which may more may not have had it's permissions changed.

reversing the effects of mkfs.btrfs?
I was playing around with btrfs, and did a mkfs.btrfs on one of my partition. Mistakes, it was my data partition (ext3 based). I have not yet mounted the device, but the mkfs.btrfs continued to completion. Is it possible to salvage my ext3 filesystem? Anyway to reverse the effect of mkfs.btrfs? Thank you for your help/answer. -- Regards, Peter Teoh
