phpMyAdmin high Memory usage
...). Mysql
also jumps to using close to 600MB in some cases
This is a Daul Dual core Xeon 3GHz machine with 4 GB of 667Mhz ram.
Should I be seeing this spike in Memory usage? The spikes only last about
5 seconds but my manager doesn't want to see those jumps.
The databases appear to be about 450MB-600MB.
On a side note I had a requirement from the dev group here to set php to a
maximum memory usage of 1GB due to the large files that are being parsed
via a web page.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!

CentOS-6.0 Continuous Release ( CR ) repository
I don't really understand the function of this repository,
or rather why the RPMs in it are not in the standard repository?
I read the outline at
<http://wiki.centos.org/AdditionalResources/Repositories/CR>,
and added the repository on two CentOS machines.
On yum-updating some 450MB of updates were installed.
Both machines appear to be running perfectly well.

I was using the simple menu system, but reverted to the old boot: command-line
system to remove the simple menu system code. The only thing I can see that is
different is that I have exceeded the old size for my ISO. Now I am about 470MB
instead of just under 450MB. Is there some requirement to boot from some low
block (like hard disks needed to boot from cylinders<1024). I am beginning to
think I need to use the almost never used -sort option to mkisofs to force my
/isolinux directory to be earlier on the disk. After burning over 20

Slow Read Performance With Samba GlusterFS VFS
Hi,
First I appreciate for you all, with your last week's points mentioned in the problem I meet with slow samba vfs write performance.
Then I use fastcopy software to test windows clients write performance, it tells the same performance with iozone rewrite results, reach 450MB/s each client.
Then I use the same smb.conf test read performance, it shows slow read performance compare with write performance,
I received two clients total result:
500MB/s read perf
900MB/s write perf
I tested the iozone in the mount dir that is mounted with a raid5 block device:
writers = 674...

FW: Memory Leak Problem in My Application running on Solaris 10.
Hi,
This is regarding Dtrace usability for memory leak detection.
We have real-time application written C++ which runs on Solaris 10
having a problem that''s the my application grows in size from 130 Mb
to 450Mb in around 15 days.
So there is two possibilities with the application growth of memory
due to Size growth of Dictionary Objects (Like Maps) and Memory Leak.
(Dictionary Objects we can print the size but its live production
site where the problem is happening also there are many such object...

tinc performance relatively slow
------- TL;DR -------
Performance seems slow (around 300-400Mbit peak).
How to improve?
------- The Long Version -------
I tried to test tinc performance for an upcoming project that may need
to use NFS over a VPN. Our current tinc network seems to be able to
transmit at around 30-40 MB/s. (I used an 1GB random testfile to copy
to/from /dev/shm/; using netcat and http.) In comparison, HTTP and

switch in the same rack. One of the servers has 10Gb links too, and I
tried to connect to a remote VM with 10Gb link, to which the top HTTP
speed was ~3Gb.
My main gripe is that scp can transfer at about 200MB/s on the network,
and 300 and 450MB/s locally, so encryption should not really be a
problem and tinc should be able to saturate a gigabit link easily.
I read more of the mailing list, and found a suggestion that tinc 1.1
should be significantly faster. How stable is the 1.1 branch? Is is
feasible to use it in production?

I just encountered my only bug w/ the ISOLINUX+VESAMENU combination

High memory use and LVI/Correlated Value Propagation
Hi all,
with the current trunk I have two major cases where clang needs more
than 2GB memory for compiling programs with -O2. One is related to GVN
and MemoryDependenceAnalysis and has a pending patch. The other is
related to the Correlated Value Propagation and Lazy Value Information
cache. Attached is a heap profile for one of the relevant test cases.
Looking at the sources, I don't see any

high read iops - more memory for arc?
I''m running into a issue where there seems to be a high number of read iops hitting disks and physical free memory is fluctuating between 200MB -> 450MB out of 16GB total. We have the l2arc configured on a 32GB Intel X25-E ssd and slog on another32GB X25-E ssd.
According to our tester, Oracle writes are extremely slow (high latency).
