read.csv issue
I'm trying to read in some data from a .csv format and have come across
the following issue. Here is a simple example for replication

Note the third line includes the \ character. However, when I read the
data in I get

creating /etc/tinc directories in make install
Hi,
I am curious why don't you guys create /etc/tinc directory, set permissions,
add /etc/rc.d scripts etc. from the Makefile(s) in the source distribution ?
Doing a make install and not finding an example config in /etc/tinc is kind
of frustrating. Am I missing something? Maybe there is a good reason for
that?
Also, why is it not finding evp.h when I try to do configure? Is creating

Multinomial Nested Logit package in R?
...sibilities that seem unclear and/or not very promising:
1. It is my understanding that the multinom function in the nnet
package does NOT do nested models.
2. The MNP (multinomial probit) package is close, but I want a logit,
not probit, model.

respond_to and Accept headers
After reading:
<http://www.loudthinking.com/arc/000572.html>
I''m trying to experiment with respond_to in order to not repeat myself
and create atom feeds out of a "browse" view.
In application controller I created a before filter that checks for the
extension of the current url and changes the accept header:
[code]
def check_headers

a question about certificates from letsencrypt
Hello!
Certificates from letsencrypt are renewed every three months.
Does that mean a MUA has to accept the renewed certificates manually
everytime it is renewed?
Sorry if this is OT!
Greetings

DHH''s Post on Ruby Talk -- Rails 1.1.6: Stronger fix, backports, and full disclosure

same technique as the backports above).
So if you upgraded to 1.1.5 yesterday, you need to upgrade again. The
approach stays the same:
sudo gem install rails --include-dependencies
If you''re running of trunk (also known as edge) using revision 4394 or

We''ll follow up with more information as it becomes available.

Bug#682216: document about VLAN configuration on dom0
Package: src:xen-api
Severity: wishlist
I've tried to configure VLAN using XCP + openvswitch using Wheezy,
though it's still not fully working, I think VLAN configuration on
dom0 can be better documented.
It's fair easy to configure VLAN in Debian. First you need to ensure
that your physical switch is in trunk mode, which means it will pass
all kinds of VLAN tagged network flow, and

Wondering about CentOS 5.1 functionality
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hi All,
I'm giving serious thought to loading 5.1 on my Inspiron 1501 laptop,
but I'm wondering about certain hardware support such as the following:
- - Broadcom Wireless Adapter - 1390 Wlan (bcm43xx)
- - USB (Pny Memory Stick - everytime on previous version CentOS has eaten
the damned things)
- - pptp vpn client(s)
Any comments?
thanks,
