Unix Password Sync
...Yes
My passtest.sh script is very simple...
#!/bin/bash
set -e
user=$1
echo "enter password"
read pass
echo "$user:$pass" >> /tmp/passtest
It seems that when passwords are changed, this script is never executed.

Why SETACL accepts non-existant users (was Re: Why are ACLs for non-existent mailboxes accepted?)
...en mbx or mbox mail storage format was
common. In Germany many people use "Mailbox" as the collection of all IMAP
folders of one account.
So the question is why Dovecot accepts non-existant _users_ as you wrote
in your last line.
> I probably found the solution myself. Quoting RFC 4314:
No, because of mailbox != Mailbox.

Problems with Caller ID on FXO
...ldcard FXO and thats it) and I'm just expecting
the Caller ID to show up on the console.
I'm seeing this:
*CLI> -- Starting simple switch on 'Zap/1-1'
NOTICE[262161]: File callerid.c, Line 238 (callerid_feed): Caller*ID
failed checksum
NOTICE[262161]: File chan_zap.c, Line 4314 (ss_thread): Got event 2
(Ring/Answered)...
and looking in the code I'm assuming this is bad :-) If it matters AT&T
broadband is my phone service and its coming through cable. Caller ID
does show up fine on my standard phones.
Can anybody give me a clue on this?
Thanks!

redefinition of "print command" not working, usign defaults

testparam shows the previous line as expected from the smb.conf.
I need a method to identify the machine where the print job is

Any suggestions?

Why are ACLs for non-existent mailboxes accepted?
Dovecot 2.2.9-1 accepts SETACL commands that share mailboxes to non-existent
mailboxes. There is no error message. Is this intended behavior?
I think it's bad because clients present a success message when indeed the
intent of the user failed. Typos are hard to catch.

NO - expunge failure: can't expunge (e.g., permission denied)
Additionally, RFC 5530 [3] provides the NOPERM response code:

The access control system (e.g., Access Control List (ACL), see
[RFC 4314]) does not permit this user to carry out an operation,
such as selecting or creating a mailbox.
C: f select "/archive/projects/experiment-iv"
S: f NO [NOPERM] Access denied
My reading of this is that NOPERM should be returned for ANY ACL
