Append/merge
I have a question about stacking datasets. I have 40 stata datasets that have exactly the same number of variables, with the same names (~420k rows, 8 columns). The datasets are relatively large ~ 15 megs. If they were text files a linux "cat file1 file2 >> combo" sort of strategy would work. I've considered using a merge command, but I don't want any records merged, only appended. Also, I don't want any var...

AW: I can not install Corel Draw !!
Hello Versions 10,11,12 and X3 aren't working yet. The only one who works (nearly clean) is Version 9. But you need some additional native dlls and wine until version 0.9.22. Version 0.9.23 - 25 have a strong regression. Roland ----- Urspr?ngliche Mail ---- Von: "news@swwwk.com" <news@swwwk.com> An: wine-users@winehq.org Gesendet: Dienstag, den 14. November 2006, 07:15:16

windows programms starting linux programms
Hi. I have got the following problem: I'd like to use the windows version of firefox in linux. When I download a file and tell firefox which application to use with it, the application opens fine. But the path of the file given to it by firefox is in windows style (C:\...). Is there a (easy) way to tell wine to covert the path to linux style? If yes, where can I read more about it?

...ec, if min and max blocksize are differeny, then the blocksize bits in each frame header must be 0110 or 0111. the other values imply to the decoder that it is a fixed-blocksize stream. Testing a forest trusts in Samba 4.4.5 AD environment
Database size would interest us here, with and without trust if you have these metrics. Global catalog is supposed to stored some attributes of almost all objects of all trusted domains, if me understanding is correct and we have no real idea about what that means in concrete terms. 2016-07-12 12:55 GMT+02:00 Alex Crow <acrow at integrafin.co.uk>: > On 12/07/16 09:36, mathias dufresne

Problem with CRAM and flac-1.1.2
A user of CRAM (http://swami.sourceforge.net/cram.php) sent in a bug report related to decoding of CRAM files. This issue occurs with flac-1.1.2 but not previous versions (such as flac-1.1.1). Note that the same file is used for this test (hopefully ruling out any issue with the encoder). Details of the issue: When calling FLAC__stream_decoder_process_single() the error callback is triggered

Slow concurrent actions on the same LVM logical volume
Hi 2 all ! I have problems with concurrent filesystem actions on a ocfs2 filesystem which is mounted by 2 nodes. OS=RH5ES and OCFS2=1.2.6 F.e.: If I have a LV called testlv which is mounted on /mnt on both servers and I do a "dd if=/dev/zero of=/mnt/test.a bs=1024 count=1000000" on server 1 and do at the same time a du -hs /mnt/test.a it takes about 5 seconds for du -hs to execute: 270M
