Looking for a RAID1 box
...300 without drives.? If I can believe the seller, it has a AMD Opteron X3216 Dual-core (2 Core) 1.6GHz and 8GB Installed. It has 4 3.5" bays. and 1? "Media" bay? https://www.servertechsupply.com/873830-s01/ this could well be acceptable.? Got to find out power draw.? Looks like ~40W. Any input on issues of OS install?? Do I go with separate OS and data RAID1 sets? Also HPE is ClearOS.? I ran ClearOS6 for years before going with QNAP turnkey.? Perhaps current ClearOS is better, but it does not handle multi-domain email as I need.? Or it did not.? So I am going to install...

suggestions for low-power, small form-factor box with PCI and PCIe slots?
I'm replacing a home PBX with an Asterisk server that needs 2 Digium cards (one PCI, one PCIe). Right now I'm just using a spare desktop machine, but it's overkill in terms of size/power/heat/noise/CPU power. Does anyone know any cost-effective alternatives? -- Eric Cooper e c c @ c m u . e d u

Power burn test
I need a program that will just run everything at max so I can measure the max power used on some systems. My 'Kill a Watt' meter should show up early next week. SO run that CPU at max, using all memory, and keeping the harddrive spinning. I can jsut do pings on the lan card for it to stay awake. I have searched here and on the net and have come back with nothing.

CyberPower BR850ELCD ignores offdelay and turns itself back on while still on battery
Hi there, I just purchased a CyberPower BR850ELCD and while setting NUT up with the install instructions from the homepage was pretty straightforward, and the UPS was detected by the usbhid-ups driver, I'm having problems getting the UPS to work properly. First issue: whatever I set as the offdelay, seems to be ignored and the UPS just cuts the power about 2sec after receiving the

Is this actually the case, or is this a measurement error? That's a measurement error on the UPS. As a test I had a 40W lamp plugged into it and in later testing, I looked at its display, it was also showing a 0% load. It's rated for a max of 510W and I guess isn't very sensitive in the lower 2 digit watts. I plugged in another 50W lamp and then it finally started showing a 19% load. The equipment I inte...
