TE-405P freezing, anyone else?
Hello list, I have about 20 Digium TE-405Ps out in the field, and I started having trouble with one just recently. The card had worked fine for a month with 4 PRIs in NFAS configuration, and then all of a sudden I started getting a disappearing D channel. A restart of asterisk / ztcfg /module unload-load did not fix the problem, but a...

motherboard for T100P
...d them at Fry's or anywhere locally. All I can find online is dual processor server boards that are overkill for this application. I would like to use a P3/ P4/ AMD single processor. No Xeons or dual processor junk. Anyone know why digium makes the 4 port cards in the 5.0 volt format [te-405p] but not the 1 port cards? Thanks Matthew

Zaptel.conf and multiple T1 woes
...found out that my Zaptel cards have been mis-configured. I'll preface this by saying that I have looked in the wiki, read through the samples, and attempted to call Digium (they're closed.) So I'm praying that someone on the list can help me out! I have two Digium cards. One is a TE405P quad T1 card. The other is a TDM40B (I believe) quad analog POTS card. Some background: We have two T1's. Both of them are split in half (half voice, half data. - Don't ask me, that's how I inherited them.) Voice traffic flows on the back 12 channels of the T's. Our provider h...

TE405p -- loopback for the phone company?
Feeling once again like an idiot, I come to the list for help... While my carrier (MCI vi PRI, fwiw) was trying to diagnose a problem, they asked me to put my interface in loopback -- and I couldn't figure out what they meant or how to do it. I've plugged a loopback *connector* into my 405p and tested it internally, but they wanted something that, apparently, looped back _their_ signal. What the? I got zttool running and selected "loop" on the interface, but it didn't seem to do what they wanted (nor could I tell that it did anything at all). Many googles for zaptel...

Servers Compatible with Digium HW
Hello All Does anyone have a list of compatible servers from either, Dell, IBM or Compac/HP? I tried asking Digium support however, they claim they don't have a list of compatible servers, only a list of compatible motherboards. Unfortunately, most Fortune 1000 companies will only accept name brand servers from one of these three companies. I am currently using a Dell Poweredge 800 and it has

TE405P V2 - Fantastic!
I anyone has any hesitations in upgrading their 405P (or 410P) to V2 of the firmware, read below; I installed one today (turnaround time around 2 weeks to Australia, inc. economy freight in both directions... impressive!) and have noticed immediate, significant improvements. Audio levels are better (have set tx and rx gains back to 0.0) and mi...

Review: Digium TE405P v2
Hello, We have finished our tests of the new Digium firmware on the quad T1 cards(TE405P/TE410P). Overall it is a big improvement over the version 1 firmware. Which hardware for this solution?
Hello, we are a firm who wants to develop some VOIP solutions. The first infrastucture we choose for development is: - an Asterisk machine connected to a traditional PBX (s0). In this way people is not (yet) obligated to migrate its extisting PBX (and analog phones) to VoIP. - The PBX will be then configured to redirect specific outgoing calls (i.e. a remote branch office) to Asterisk, that

sip device discussion and reviews
...lame the SJ Phone for the echo, it's caused by a cheap sound card interface in my laptop, but it would sure be nice to find a soft phone that would help me attempt to cancel it out. The sound controls on the SJ phone are also poor, which exacerbates the echo problem. Interface Card: Digium TE-405P Good: Price, Intel-based, Features Bad: ??? Price: $1500 Not really a SIP device, but I am very pleased with the TE-405P's that we have been buying from Digium. We interface them with our PRI and CT1 circuits and they are working without any problems. The price is right, they work with Linux...
