Hi list, I'm using samba-4.7.6-r0 and attempting to establish a public samba share where any anonymous user can write to the share. I have an issue where the 'guest' (uid 405) account is unable to write to a directory owned by that uid. If the gid or world writable bits are set, I can write to my share, but not as the guest uid. The closest to working I've gotten is setting chmod g+w /mnt/share, which because the guest account's default gid is 100 (users), allowed uid 405 to write to gid 100. I happen to have a WIP-5000 phone. I can send text messages to the phone no problem. The phone also has a feature "Write Msg". I use it and enter a valid extension for a WIP-5000 phone (so It will receive the text message) and enter some small message and hit send... I get a "405 Method not allowed error". Is there something I dont have setup to be able to send text from a SIP phone? Thanks, Jerry
