Xen not seeing all the memory in the box
I''m running Xen 4.1 (4.1.3-3ubuntu1.3) on an Ubuntu 12.10 server with
an AMD FX-8150 processor (8 cores) and 16 GB of RAM.
When I boot the server, Xen sees only 3 GB of RAM (instead of 16 GB).
If I try to create a domU with more than about 1.5 GB of RAM, the create
fails with messages saying it "could not allocate memory for HVM guest".
Here''s the output when I do

Rspec/Ruby to test software written in other languages?
Is anyone here using Rspec and Ruby to test software written in other
languages? I''m about to start an R language project, and may also be
doing some work in another language (I''m not sure which one yet, but
it''s one of the ones that''s part of the Axiom symbolic math package).
I''d dearly love a test framework that can handle all three languages,

sending print jobs on a pipe
Hi all,
I'm using Samba 3 in an environment with very limited disk resources,
and thus I'm unable to spool large print jobs. It would be very handy
if I could send the print job directly to the USB printer, and not via
a spool file. Looking through the man pages, I can't find any option
for doing this. Ideally, I would want something like "print job on
pipe = yes" and the

Here's a coffee break for all you coders out there. I use to run a BBS

Ogg Vorbis ripping/encoding on Windows
I think the new web page is wonderful. However, one thing annoyed me.
Some programs on 'Other Software Which Supports Ogg Vorbis' page at
Vorbis.com seems to be bit problematic. As far as I know, at least two
of them have not updated their plug-ins for a while.
1. 'CD-DA X-Tractor' vorbenc-20001018.zip as 'Latest released version
