Xen-kernel: Update to 4.14 or 4.19?
Hey all,
We've been on 4.9 for some time now, and while it's still supported, I
think it's time to start thinking about upgrading, and I'd like input
from the community about which version to move up to.
4.19 has been out for almost 5 months now. It will include PVH domU
support, and PVH dom0 support in what _is believed_ to be the final
form; so when the Virt SIG moves to a

Upgrade DC from 4.7 to 4.19
Hello,
I have two Samba DCs currently on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS with Samba version

I don't want to do in place upgrade and iterate trough software versions
I think there is to many changes. I thought I demote one DC give all
FSMO rolls to the other do a clean install with the newer version then
rejoin the domain keeping the

Replication of Samba 4.8 DC to 4.19 ?
I have a particular AD domain which, due to hardware- and OS-related issues,
is still at version 4.8.12.
It is finally possible to upgrade the system. If I add a new version 4.19 DC
to the domain, will it replicate correctly from version 4.8.12, or will I
need to upgrade in phases, from major version to major version?
The current DCs would then be removed from the domain and scrapped.
Any tips,

Upgrade 4.19 to 4.20 defunct
I upgraded one of my DCs from 4.19 to 4.20 using Michaels repository (http://www.corpit.ru/mjt/packages/samba jammy/samba-4.20/), and the DC is now no longer responding.
systemctl status samba-ad-dc returns:

Linux/Windows Domain Controller
Yes I've red this section and the docu is saying no FL above 2008. Might
be caused by incompleted docu? So far I understand if we don't use >4.19
we will not be able to use FL 2016 which is necessary since our DC WIN22
is configured as FL2016?

Upgrade 4.19 to 4.20 defunct
From
http://samba.bigbird.es/doku.php?id=samba:upgrade-sama
4.20 has a new package samba-ad-dc (split from other binaries in previous versions) that provides DC functionality.
Before 4.20, there is a meta-package with the same name that provides compatibility before the upgrade. It is recommended to install this meta package samba-ad-dc before upgrading to 4.20, so the upgrade has all its

Nope. Things are more interesting than that.
I've a 4.19 installation where msdfs links works both in listing
and when specified directly. There are 2 other installations of 4.19

Linux 4.19 slowdown / crash - nouveau - Ubuntu 18.10 / Alienware 17 R5
Hi all. I've reported a bug over at the Ubuntu bug tracker: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1799180
Given the logs in kern.log it certainly looks like the nouveau driver is the culprit. The system becomes incredibly slow ultimately becoming unusable, and the fan screams.
Full details including driver / kernel version and full kernel log over at the bug, but I see a bunch
