This explains adding members to queues, although it doesn't specifically provide an example of using local channels in a queue: http://www.asteriskdocs.org/en/3rd_Edition/asterisk-book-html-chunk/ACD_id289508.html

(problem in Integrate asterisk through LDAP (Invalid credential
Hello all,
I am going to register asterisk sip users through active directory accounts LDAP (that is a separated server with ip : 192.168.11.17)
So I have followed the below link as well:
https://wiki.asterisk.org/wiki/display/AST/LDAP+Realtime+Driver

Uprading to Asterisk 11 issues
Hello,
I installed Asterisk 11 via the following command
*> svn co http://svn.asterisk.org/svn/asterisk/branches/11*
(as written in asteriskdocs.org
http://asteriskdocs.org/en/3rd_Edition/asterisk-book-html-chunk/Installing_id240883.html
)
But it seems that I have a development version instead of a stable release:
*> core show version*
*Asterisk SVN-branch-11-r375559 built by user @ user-MS-6580 on a i686
running Linux on 2012-11-01 13:05:50 UTC*
Did I do something wrong ?

Is it possible to perform PJSIP Add Header prior to calling Queue and have it part of the INVITE packet?
Thanks Scott.
I?m taking over for someone else?s code, so I must admit I?m still learning the Agent and Queue concepts. Local channels are something I have not used either. Would local channels essentially be an internal bridge?
How would I
?Register Local/number at agent in the queue on behalf of the agent (replace number with the agent's extension number)?

Signaling ringing on other extension
Hi again!
With the "call pickup"-function I can now pickup a call directed to another
phone in my Asterisk. Very nice.
My problem, now, is that I can't see on my phone, that the other phone (in
another room) rings.
Is it possible to signal the incoming call on other extension? I use two
phones "Thomson ST2022".
Thanks a lot

openldap server.
Following this guide
http://www.asteriskdocs.org/en/3rd_Edition/asterisk-book-html-chunk/ExternalServices_id291590.html
i see a template named [sip] to map the information of sip peers into ldap.
But i'm not interested to create a template, i would only authenticate
sip extensions using username and password

docs/guidance and follow best practices. I have read the 5th Edition of
"Asterisk: The Definitive Guide" and like the 3rd Edition on the web it
recommends that hardphones and softphones both have a unique name
distinct from any concept of extension.
http://asteriskdocs.org/en/3rd_Edition/asterisk-book-html-chunk/DeviceConfig_id283201.html
Then the 5th edition goes on to give an example with a hardphone and a
softphone associated with one individual, where the hardphone is named
by MAC address and the softphone by JIM_VANM_SOFT (p. 61).
Despite talking about separating extensions,...

CDR unanswered setting
?
Hi,
From asterisk 1.8, the CDR table is not logging the unanswered or extn busy calls which hit while in the queue. I am talking about this setting in the cdr.conf :
; In brief, this option controls the reporting of unanswered calls which only have an A
; party. Calls which get offered to an outgoing line, but are unanswered, are still

Simultaneous Ring
I have a need to issue a dial command to a number:
same => n,Dial(${DIALGROUP1},${TIMER1},t)
After a number of seconds, let's say 10 seconds. I want to dial another set of numbers while continuing to ring, or interrupting the first group of numbers.
same => n,Dial(${DIALGROUP2},${TIMER1},t)
Is there a way to do this without interrupting the first call?
Thanks,
