Suggestion for noise reduction on Asterisk-U sers

Problem is, Wikis in general suck and voip-info.org in particular is quite
useless except as a random clicky-clicky exercise. You ever use the search
on voip-info.org? It's almost like someone

Applications of TDMoE
Hi All,
Please bear my ignorance but what is TDMoE used for? Illustrations with
practical applications, scenarios or set ups will be most appreciated.
Thanks

when I synced to a revision that had worked on my Linux box. This is
with just a `make`, not `make bootstrap`, so I'm surprised it's even

doesn't find any results either.
Thanks again,

slave only config files
.....
are their easily searchable archives of the nut
archives (both old and new) available via the web?
I'm having some luck with
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&q=site%3Aexploits.org+searchstring
from google cache for the old list
and
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=site%3Alists.alioth.debian.org%2Fpipermail%2Fnut-upsuser%2F+searchstring
But it's not a good long term solution.
thanks

Adding custom iptables rules
...and
am passably familiar with the config files and the simple setups.
Recently I''ve discovered the "recent" module (no pun intended!) and want
to setup a few rules that use this module. I searched all through the
shorewall site (including
http://www.google.com/search?q=site%3Alists.shorewall.net%20custom ) and
cant figure out how to add a set of rules of my own. There seemed to be
some help at
http://www.shorewall.net/User_defined_Actions.html#id2495779 which I
tried but it didn''t work (in the sense the rules didn''t seem to take effect.
FWIW, this is w...

No searchable archives for this mailing list?
Hello all--
I can't seem to find a way to search the archives of this list right now
though I DO remember doing that in the past. Any ideas? Thanks.

G729A and GSM - newbie question
Hello,
When I'm trying to play standard sound files from
Asterisk using G729A codec with OH323 channel
I get this message:
channel.c:1650 ast_set_write_format: Unable to find a path from GSM to G729A
It seems that this files must be in G729 format?
How can I convert this files to G729?
... or am I wrong?

Caller ID with DTMF
Hi Everyone!
I live in Sweden and can not get CallerID to work on analog incoming lines.
I m trying to find out if DTMF style CallerID works on a FXO card (X100).
I`v seen one solution with a modem attached in parallel with the X100 just to provide the ID on its serial port.
It must be much better if this can be implemented in to the X100 driver.
Any info about this would be highly appreciated.

can't install 1.0.3
Hello list,
I have been running Asterisk CVS for a good while. When I try to
install 1.0.3, asterisk won't start. Below are the last few lines of
output before Asterisk crashes. I ran "make samples" to start with a
fresh setup.

Illegal instruction on startup
Hello,
I have done some browsing through the wiki and on Google and haven't been
able to find anything that looks like what is happening to me. When I start
Asterisk by typing "asterisk -vvvc", I get "Illegal instruction" and nothing
else. Nothing before and nothing after.

List search question
Hello everyone,
I'm a new member here at Samba lists. I've been a lightweight Samba user
for several years, but now I am investigating replacing our Active Directory
domain with a pure Samba domain. I already have a few questions, but before
I start posting them I though I'd ask about searching the list archives. I
might be missing something here, but I haven't found a way to

Yeah, a bootstrap build is the default these days. I'm pretty sure
that's true for FSF GCC as well.
