What's going on with my Linux Swap?
I've tried to create a Linux swap file, but when I run fdisk, it looks
like this:
Device Boot Start End Blocks Id System
/dev/hdb1 * 1 3644 29270398+ 83 Linux
/dev/hdb2 3645 3737 747022+ f W95 Ext'd (LBA)
/dev/hdb5 3645 3737 746991 82 Linux swap
Why is this W95 partition existing in the same place as my Linux swap? I
would have thought they'd be incompatible.
Can my Linux OS use this Linux swap?
Does this need cleanin...

subset with NA
...1 2 3 3 4 5 1211
Querying for
subset(temp, tuna %in% "NA", select....
subset(temp, tuna == NA, select....
subset(temp, tuna == as.character(NA), select....
All yield an empty data frame.
An R-help post
(http://www.r-project.org/nocvs/mail/r-help/2002/3645.html) suggested
looking at http://developer.r-project.org/150update.txt, which I did
but I'm confused as to how to accurately query for an NA string.

findInterval(), binary search, log(N) complexity
Dear R users,
the help for findInterval(x,vec) suggests a logarithmic dependence on N
(=length(vec)), which would imply a binary search type algorithm.
However, when I "test" this hypothesis, in the following manner:
set.seed(-3645);
l <- vector();
N.seq <- c(5000, 500000, 1000000, 10000000, 50000000);k <- 1
for (N in N.seq){
tmp <- sort(round(stats::rt(N, df=2), 2));
l[k] <- system.time(it3 <- findInterval(-1, tmp))[2];k <- k + 1;
}
plot(N.seq,l,type="b",xlab="length(vec)", ylab=&...

How is using include in a describe block different than the typical
"include" keyword in Ruby? Am I right in believing that the describe
