Error messages every 32min after Win2k security update
I'm running Samba 3.0.10 from Debian Sarge (3.0.10-1). Samba is configured as the primary browse master for the network, and there are two windows boxes that access shares from the samba box, one win2k and the other XP Pro. Earlier this week, I installed a number of patches to the win2k box via windows update. I'm having trouble finding out exactly what patches were installed, but

Syncing emails from external server like Gmail
...y by defining imapc location as: imapc:~/.imapc > to see if it can be skipped. > > Sami > That's awesome Sami, thanks a lot. For gmail.com account with 43000 emails it went down from 6 mins to 15seconds (24 times faster). For yandex.com account with 15000 emails it went down from 32min to 28seconds (60 times faster). I started testing it more and found out that it works as a charm with new emails and move operations. However, it fails when I delete (expunge) email on gmail server. On backup I get this error: Panic: file imapc-sync.c: line 328 (imapc_initial_sync_check): asse...

Theora DirectShow filters assembly
Hello everybody, I intend to use Theora as a live video codec in a research project. This project is based on live video broadcast over a poor/slow link, which means lots of frames lost and low bandwith. Until now, it used XViD codec for video compression, which is a working solution but a lot blocky. I made some test with Theora and it looks better in a similar situation. Now, I would like to
