if the file changes send email about diff
I have 2 script. Script "A", Script "B". Script "A" is regulary watching the "dhcpacks" [dhcp release is configured to 2mins] in the logs, for the past 2 minutes. it writes the MAC addresses to a file [/dev/shm/dhcpacks-in-last-2min.txt] every 2 minutes. Ok, this is working, active clients are in this file. Super! Script "B": http://pastebin.com/raw.php?i=wvhwhPWu I'm trying to create a script, that watch...

NUT Client shuts down when performing runtime calibration on APC UPS
...PS has also a Network card AP9630 I am using the snmp-ups driver to connect the SAN to the UPS for signaling. Last week I need to change the battery pack and then I needed to perform a runtime calibration. I used the web interface of the AP9630 card to start the runtime calibration. However, after 2min. of runtime calibration the SAN shut down! This is because the UPS status goes "On Battery" during runtime calibration and this is the signal for NUT to shut down the Client. However, I know, that there is another status you can get via snmp that gives the information, that the UPS is on...

multichannel streaming
...#39;ll have static files anyway so no need to make them into live > >streams... > hm ... what do you mean exactly ... something like Jinzora (as Mark > suggested) ? I don't know how jinzora handles things. IOW what happens if you push the fast forward button in your client or skip 2min ahead right away. My Idea would be the client requests another part of the file, thus reducing bandwith usage and speeding things up. (instead of downloading the whole file) Most http servers support this requests (they are needed for resume download feature) I'm not sure about client software...

Strange FXS disconnection problem.
Hi All, I've tried to find the solution to this, but sadly met with failure. I've got an asterisk box with two X100P's in, and both cards have the same strange problem. After 2min 40seconds (always: within +/- 1sec) they drop an outbound call. Inbound calls are not affected... they stay up as long as required. I've seen a fair bit of chatter about similar kinds of problems sometimes being related to callprogess detecting false hang-ups, so I've made sure this is...

Samba4 AD not very stable
...However we noticed some strange behavior: Under some circumstances the authentication does not work anymore, but all daemons etc. are up and running. Also locally on the DC everything seems to be fine. But NO service will authenticated successfully against the domain. Stopping the server for 1-2min and restarting the service solves the problem in most cases. Sometimes a reboot is the final "solution". We see nothing helpful in the logfile. Only one time we saw from the winbindd a messages ("could not open file"), so we increased the open file limits (debian default 1...

A question of imap timeout exit
...re are a large number of users online at the same time ( eg about 30 000 users): so dovecot should shart at least 30 000 * 3 imap processes, if user not logout ,so many processes are online all the time .this is terrible. I dot'n know if there is a solution ?? now I have changed the timeout = 2min and test ,dovecot active disconnected imap process ,but I don't think this is a appropriate option. 2: I want to know why auto logout timer duration of IMAP protocol must be not less than 30 minuters ?? My English is not vary good ,I'm sorry but I really want to know the answer . thanks

Simulation using parts of density function
Hi My simulation with the followin R code works perfectly: sim <- replicate(999, sum(exp(rgamma(rpois(1,2000), scale = 0.5, shape = 12)))) But now I do not want to have values in object "sim" exceeding 5'000'000, that means that I am just using the beginning of densitiy function gamma x < 15.4. Is there a possibility to modify my code in an easy way? Thanks for any help!
