Split E1 ISDN service for another device.
Hi All, I know this is not specifically Asterisk related but I don't knew where else to ask for help. Does anyone know how to or if it is even possible to allocate 512kbit/s to an ISDN device from a 30B+D ISDN line. The building the office is in has a E1 30 channel service (30B+D) but we can not get any 2B+D ISDN services. I have a HDX Polycom video conferencing system that requires a 512kbit/s service. I am told to allocate 8B+D service from the 30B+D to the Polycom device. Is this even...

Difference between E1 and PRI
Hi all, I have seen the term E1 and PRI used interchangably when referring to a voice service with 30B channels and 1 D channel. Are they just different terms for the same thing or is there some technical difference. Even Newton's telco dictonary seemed a bit fuzzy on this topic. I have seen it said the PRi is a protocol that runs on top of E1. Is this true?

plot 3d info in 2d
Hi Listers, Is it possible to produce an ordination plot in 2d, where bubbles represent the location of sites (this part is easy enough) and the size of the bubbles is proportional to the sites location in 3d space (I am stuck on this option). So sites that are very near the 2d plane of the xy axes would be larger while sites that are actually further away in 3 d space would be proportionally

using grib files in R
I am not new to R, but I am new to .grib files. I am downloading some climate data and I would like to analyze it in R. R has a nice netcdf package, but I don?t see any package available to deal specifically with grib files. I see a few posts from other people using grib files in R. However, I was unclear if they used grib files in a different software program and then imported the data

ddply from plyr package - any alternatives?
Hello everyone, I was asked to repost this again, sorry for any inconvenience. I'm looking replacement for ddply function from plyr package. Function allows to apply function by category stored in any column/columns. Regular loops or lapplys slow down greatly because my unique combination count exceeds 9000. Is there any available solution which allow me to apply function by category?
