Questions regarding "integrate" function
Hi there. Thanks for your time in advance. I am using R 2.2.0 and OS: Windows XP. My final goal is to calculate 1/2*integral of (f1(x)^1/2-f2(x)^(1/2))^2dx (Latex codes: $\frac{1}{2}\int^{{\infty}}_{\infty} (\sqrt{f_1(x)}-\sqrt{f_2(x)})^2dx $.) where f1(x) and f2(x) are two marginal densities. My problem: I have the following R codes using "adapt" package. Although "adapt" function is mainly designed for more than 2 dimensions, t...

Now, I would like to run the FreeBSD boxes headless (sans keyboard, mouse, monitor etc.) How can I do this. I can manage & use the system through one of the other networked systems however on booti...

Adtran TA750 & T100P
Hello, So all the pieces are finally here, and I'm ready to play. I remember reading on this list that the connection Channel Bank <-> T100P requires a "reverse cable." Is this a regular Ethernet reverse cable (i.e., only a couple of pairs reversed?) Please help me before I blow something up! Saludos, Jose.

uncertainty principle is untenable !!!
...asses a slit with width dx . So the uncertain quantity of the particle position in X direction is dx (see the picture below) , and interference occurs at the back slit . According to Wave Optics , the angle where No.1 min of interference pattern is , can be calculated by following formula : sinA=L/2dx (1) and L=h/p where h is Planck¡¯s constant. (2) So uncertainty principle can be obtained dPx dx ~ h (5) Reanalysis According to Newton first law , if the external force at the X direction does not affec...
