enable object name to be called as object (a dataset)
...<- obj[i]
data <- cbind(data,newdata [[1]] )
}
Obviously, it doesn't work since obj[i] is just a string of dataset name.
Here is my question: how to call it as a original dataset? Thanks.

Efectos fijos y aleatorios en un modelo lineal
Hola a todos,
Tengo algunas dudas sobre como introducir en un modelo lineal factores
con efectos fijos y aleatorios. Mi diseño es el siguiente:
Factores

Rep: 3 Bloques (Aleatorio)
Year: 2 Años (Aleatorio)
Variable dependiente
alpha.ug.mg
Nota: Adjunto tabla de datos
Dentro del diseño, 'Rep' y 'Year' se considera de efectos aleatorios y

PSTN->SIP->PSTN transfer problem
Hi all
I have a rather odd problem that I hope somebody can shed some light on. I
have a Asterisk server (1.0.7) that is connected to a Cisco 2600 router
(c2600-is-mz.122-28a) fitted with an E1 card. The E1 is configured for QSig
and is conencted to our local Ericsson MD110 which goes out to the PSTN. We
have a DID range assigned to the E1 and can make and receive calls from/to
SIP attached phones through this gateway setup.
The problem i have is with transfering ca...

How do update samba on Ubuntu
Hi all, I?ve got an ubuntu 8.04 server with samba 3.0.28 and ldap installed
in a net that is working ok.
I?d like to actualize samba to the actual version and don?t know how.
Sudo apt-get upgrade will do?
I?ve read in internet that some people uninstall it and it really scares me!
If someone have any idea about how to do it and can give me a link or some
clue about it, I really will apreciate it!

upgraded to 3.6.2
Hi Folks,
I have upgraded my very stock Ubuntu 8.04.4 running 3.0.28a to 3.6.2 by
compiling in place as per these notes:
http://www.jeremycole.com/blog/2009/12/01/upgrade-samba-3-0-28a-to-3-4-3-on-ubuntu-8-04-lts/
Worked a treat - big respect to the team.
However, I am struggling a little with group mapping
net groupmap list used to show the half dozen or so gro...

Samba 3.2.0-pre3 packages in Debian - version of Samba in Debian lenny
...rs (untested,
though). You might want to replace "unstable" by "hardy" in
/etc/apt/preferences, then.
News about Samba in Debian lenny
--------------------------------
Debian lenny is due out for September 2008. From the news we currently
have, it seems wiser to stick with 3.0.28a rather than a quite
disruptive and uncertain 3.2.0.... This is currently the plan of the
packaging team for Samba in Debian (and Ubuntu).
We will do our best to offer 3.2.0 packages for lenny on the
backports.org server.
Ubuntu Hardy will have 3.0.28a and the same is likely to be true for
hardy+1...

findInterval and data resolution
Hello Wise Ones...
I need a clever way around a problem with findInterval. Consider:
vec1 <- 1:10
vec2 <- seq(1, 10, by = 0.1)
x1 <- c(2:3)
a1 <- findInterval(x1, vec1); a1 # example 1
a2 <- findInterval(x1, vec2); a2 # example 2
In the problem I'm working on, vec* may be either integer or numeric, like
vec1 and vec2. I need to remove one or more sections of this vector;
