Javascript compression / How to hook in to rails development
...or_system.html
This removes javascript comments and renames variables and seems pretty
reliable and effective.
For example, I keep the original htmlarea.js file from
http://xinha.gogo.co.nz/
in a file htmlarea.js.txt and it compresses from 200K to 100K. With
gzip it compresses further down to 27K as opposed to 50K without the
intermediate custom_rhino compression (hopefully I can make use of
Apache 2.0 mod_deflate soon.)
So I set up a Rake task for all my javascript files
FILE lib/tasks/compress_javascript.rake
task :javascript do
{
''public/stb.js'' => 0,...

IPhone wont delete IMAP messages from dovecot mailbox
Hello!
I've got dovecot running with postfix. Have virtual users under vmail
folder.
When I connect with outlook, I can read, delete messages.
When I sign on with webmail, also can delete messages,
Mutt is working as well on the mail server, can delete messages.
Once the message is deleted it moves to the trash. Works as it
supposed to.
But on Iphone, when I add a mail user, got the

Unfortunately it's not fixed in 2.3 :( I made a patch ([1]) for 2.2 and gave
it to one of the developer, I guess he forgot about

That's indeed unfortunate. On x86-64 the Pure interpreter currently is a
7MB behemoth, and most of that is LLVM. ;-) On 32 bit I have all that
stuff in a separate runtime library, resulting in a 27K interpreter
executable. It goes without saying that this makes a world of a
difference. I don't care if LLVM is a shared library itself, and I
understand the reasons speaking against that, but it should at least be
linkable into a dll.

sending of password did not succeed
Hi
Today I have upgraded my Debian server from lenny to squeeze and my email
stopped working.
I am using Dovecot 1.2.15 with exim4.
Exim4 is working and mail is being delivered to the mailboxes - /home/
didm.co.uk/peter/Maildir/new etc
When I try to download emails to my I get
"sending of password did not succeed, Mail server

Well, by tweaking configure and make options, I've managed to build LLVM
2.2 shared libraries on

Large number of HTB classes
I am planning a setup with thousands of classes in a HTB qdisc, say from
1:1000 to 1:2000, each with a very small rate and a big ceil, for fair
sharing of a 45mbit link.
I suspect some problems could be lurking in there.
Anyone having good/bad experience with such number of classes?
Simon

TDM400P NO BATTERY & Poopy???
All,
I've recently installed a TDM400P and am unable to get it working. It has
four FXO modules on it. What I would like to do is have the first two ports
as inbound from pstn and have them ring the last two ports which will be
connected to regular analog phones.
In Zaptel.conf I have:
fxsks=1-4
In Zaptel.conf

xcalls - mpstat vs dtrace
HI,
T5220, S10U4 + patches
mdb -k
> ::memstat
While above is working (takes some time, ideally ::memstat -n 4 to use 4 threads could be useful) mpstat 1 shows:
CPU minf mjf xcal intr ithr csw icsw migr smtx srw syscl usr sys wt idl
48 0 0 1922112 9 0 0 8 0 0 0 15254 6 94 0 0
So about 2mln xcalls per second.
Let''s check with dtrace:

linux 2.4 vs 2.6 kernel
hi
I read ( I think in dovecot wiki) that ext2 or ext3 fs on a 2.4 kernel
can get slow due to the number of files in a directory. Does anyone know
if kernel 2.6 has similar limitation? I'm not at that point now, but
before the box goes live, I'm wondering if I should resolve that.

Back to 3.0.1, Winbind and Solaris 9
I've gone back to 3.0.1 to try and get winbind to work with my Solaris 9
machine and NT4 domain. Everything works except user authentication. The
wbinfo and getent commands do what they are supposed to.
I've included a truss of 'su - ganguly'
According to pamlog, the user 'ganguly' has been granted access but it is
still hanging.
How do I do a truss of a telnet login?

Need Help Invalidating Uberblock
I have a ZFS pool that has been corrupted. The pool contains a single device which was actually a file on UFS. The machine was accidentally halted and now the pool is corrupt. There are (of course) no backups and I''ve been asked to recover the pool. The system panics when trying to do anything with the pool.

unqiue problem
Hello everybody,
I have a a matrix of 2 columns and over 27k rows.
some of the rows are double , so I tried to remove them with the command
unique():

> dim(Workbook5)
[1] 27748 2
> Workbook5 <- unique(Workbook5)
> dim(Workbook5)

it removed a lot of line, but...
