ACD0 is only the DVD , CD-RW (a Liteon 52x 24x 52x) isn't found at all!!
Literally from DMESG:

Currently, the debugging tool does not utilize all of the results from

Actually, I was more interested in how you set up the disk array. The
biggest one I'd set up was a while back, when 60 GB drives were at the
best price point, and I created a 420 GB array of 8 60 GB drives on an
Escalade 7850 controller (in a 4U rackmount case). Now, with 250 GB
drives...

advices for a new installation
...NFS shares between the front
servers (MTA, IMAP...) and mail storage server.
I've read some wiki2 pages that present the new director and imap proxy.
But I'm still don't see things clearly, so I post here to have your advices
to set-up a new mail architecture.
The hardware we have :
- 24x hard drives in a SAS bay
- this bay is directly attached via SAS to a server that I'll call : mail
storage server
- 2 others servers run ProxMox Virtual Environment
The PVE will help us to get many virtual servers :
- MX : "mail in" servers
- IMAP/POP : our hosted clients services

If a DHCP server present in LAN, the second pseudo interface is
picking up a DHCP IP Address too.
Furthermore you can ping both Eth0 ip and Psedo Eth0 IP from the switch.

CD burning issues & questions
I have been having some strange results trying to burn CDs under
CentOS. I don't think they are hardware related because I have had
some success, in fact most of this usually works.
I use k3b for most of my CD and DVD writing - it seems to work fairly
well (well, except for wrecking my installation a few weeks ago when
it crashed my installation and I had to reinstall to get it back, but

Install problems for a Toshiba NW24XCD
I am trying to install Centos on my old Portege 2490CT. Actually a
pretty good box, but it does not support USB booting. Only HDD, FDD
(interestingly a USB device), 'CD-Rom', or LAN.
The only CDroms I have is a nice USB drive and an old PCMCIA toshiba
NW24XCD drive.
I have not gotten this system to boot off of my USB CDrom. It will
boot of the NW24XCD.
So I put the CentOS disk 1 in the drive and boot. Boot seems to go
OK, it asks my the language preferences but then gives me the dialog:
What type of Media contains the packages to be installed?...

CD Baby using FLAC to archive 40,000 CDs
Hey FLAC gang -
Just thought you'd like to know CD Baby has switched to FLAC for archiving the 40,000 CDs we have in stock.
Luckily HD space is down below $1/gig so we got a 6-terabyte RAID-5 box set up for about $7000.
Got the FreeBSD boxes churning away night and day, ripping and archiving.
I'll do a more formal press release for ya in a couple months as we're further along, but
