All results seem to be OK somehow. But I cannot explain why Xen is faster than the native installation when creating and deleting files? Its 12ms (DomU) against 24ms (native) for creating a 0K file and 50ms (DomU) against 60ms (native) for creating a 10K file. Please find all the results attached.

IAXy echo avoidance/cancellation
...The problem being calls made to or from anything on the far end results
in about a half second echo on their end. I got my echo cancel working
on our PRI and FXS/POTS devices pretty good. This happens even to say a
SIP phone for example. Therefore I assume it's the IAXy. Our server(s)
are about 24ms from the IAXy (on Charter), that's pretty decent ping
times. Any ideas?
Just to keep confusing low:
IAXy --> far end
Far end hears the echo, this is a weird one (for me anyway) the echo has
always been on my end for FXS type devices. Thanks for not flaming me
:-)

simple question
...#39;m trying to set up netem on a SuSE box (kernel 2.6.16), but I''m having some weird problems, considering that on my Gentoo laptop (kernel 2.6.17) it worked
fine.
If I write:
# tc qdisc add dev eth0 root netem delay 20ms loss 20%
and then try pinging another machine over eth0, I get a 24ms delay but no packet loss (while on my laptop I get 21ms and a correct packet
loss).
But what I''m sure you''ll be able to clarify is this: what''s wrong with this command:
# tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: netem delay 20ms
# tc qdisc add dev eth0 parent 1:1 handle 10...

Forwarding to the list for Jay or Scott to have a look.
Ignazio, do you see any more details (traceback or something) in the rails log?

Variable frame size and API changes
Hi everyone,
I've recently been making various changes to the way the modes work and
the supported frame size. On new feature that may be of interest to some
is that CELT should soon support changing the frame size dynamically
within a stream. By that I mean varying the amount of audio (in time)
transmitted at once, not the compressed size -- which has always been
variable. That would

questions about HFSC, VoIP and (dynamic) ingress shaping
Hello,
I just found the great howto and started shaping my internet connection. The
howto''s last update is a liitle in the past now so I have some questions
about how things are done the best way nowadays ;-)
To ensure a stable and low latency voip communication I added an HFSC qdisc to
device ppp0 (1 Mbit SDSL). There are two classes (by now): One for SIP and
RTP and one for the
