Hello list, Please don''t shoot me. I know I''m doing something with bonding that bonding wasn''t made for. I just want to give it a try. I want a simple mechanism to have a failover on a 24Mbit line to a 2Mbit line in case the 24Mbit line goes down. Between A and B there are two lines: a 24Mbit and a 2Mbit. How many (htb) tc classes and qdiscs are too many?
We have a Linux box that is acting as the gateway to the internet for about 400 people, typically there are not more then 50 of them using the internet at any given time. We would like to provide different levels of access to different users. For example 128kbps to some users and 256kbps to others.
