How to install HP PSC 2410 into SAMBA
Hi all,
Would like to know how to install HP PSC 2410 printer into SAMBA? I
found the installation CD provided by HP is not the traditional driver

Thx Many.

Programming: loop versus vector oriented
Dear all,
I am new to R and to it's programming philosophy. The following function
is supposed to work on a vector, but I can't figure out how to do that
without looping through every element of it. Is there a more elegant
way?
Note: I have shortened it, so it is NOT correct from the pipe hydraulics
point of view

Ext3 on NON-SMP system
Hi folks,
I successfully installed EXT3 on my non-SMP system.
This is a (single) P3-450 with kernel 2.4.10-ac11 with the
ext3-2.4-0.9.12-2410 patch applied. Works like a jiffy, although I only
converted a single disc (and a not really important one too)!
(Oh and this is a SuSE 7.0 system)
I'd like to note that the Util-Linux installation is pretty hard to do and
can go horribly wrong. In order not to lose all my data on this I dec...

Hi all - Kernel Opps on PowerPC
Hello all,
We recently switched to kernel 2.4.10 from kernel 2.4.4, and in doing
so also added the EXT3 patch 2.4-0.9.10-2410.
Everything seems to work great, however I have been able to reproduce
a crash over and over again.
Here it is:
#!/bin/sh
mke2fs -j /dev/hda2
mount /dev/hda2 /mnt
About 75% of the time, mount will result in a kernel Oops, the crash
seems to be about something in journal_update_superblock().....

Port speex to my iPAQ 1945
Hi
I want to port speex to my pocket PC iPAQ1945 which has a Samsung
processor 2410, an ARM9-based processor. I would like to write the
specific optimized code for this chip. I had some experience at DSP
chip and fixed-point coding but know nothing about embedded system and
ARM. Could someone tell me some hint how to write optimized code for
this pocket PC. If you can give me some...

Standard error of mean for aov
Hi all,
I'm quite new to R and have a very basic question regarding how one gets
the standard error of the mean for factor levels under aov. I was able to
get the factor level means using:
summary(print(model.tables(rawfixtimedata.aov,"means"),digits=3)),
where rawfixtimedata.aov is my aov model. It doesn't appear that there is
an equivalent function to get the standard

On recent x86 processors, floating point is faster than fixed-point.
