Will Frank Harrell or someone else please explain to me a real application

strange partitioning problem
Hello listmates,
Here's I am, trying to install Centos 6.2 64-bit on a server with 24 TB of
disk RAIDed as RAID 6. So I get this 18 TB disk (the RAID is recognized as
one disk) where I am trying to put my OS. And I can create a couple of
partitions - let us say I defiine a 150 GB swap, a 150 GB "/", a 100 GB
"/var". So far so good. Then I try to define the next one, say, a

HP Envy EFI problem after BIOS update
Hi Jim,
Thanks for this. I looked into what you said, and once happy I ran the
command you gave. It appeared to work as it did not come up with any errors,
and the output from efibootmgr showed
1) Centos had been added as an option and
2) it was the first in the boot sequence.
However, when I rebooted the laptop went straight into Win8, and after
rebooting back into KDE Live, the option is

The proper command in this case is
efibootmgr -c -d /dev/sda -p 2 -L CentOS -l \\EFI\\centos\\shim.efi
efibootmgr -v is more rewarding

Slab memory usage on dom0 increases by 128MB/day
...itions on sda. Two of
the virtual servers has access to backup-partitions on sdb. All
filesystems are running ext3 file system.
The problem:
I have to reboot dom0 once every other day because high "slab" memory
usage. The server crashes ("Out of memory") when it reach aroind 210MB.
I did move all data fra loopback-files to RAID-arrays because it seems
this caused the issue. Now the slab-usage increases faster ever before.
I''m attaching a diagram showing the speed of the increasing slab-usage

Help understanding some benchmark results
G''day, all,
So, I''ve decided to migrate my home server from Linux+swRAID+LVM to Solaris+ZFS, because it seems to hold much better promise for data integrity, which is my primary concern.
However, naturally, I decided to do some benchmarks in the process, and I don''t understand why the results are what they are. I though I had a reasonable understanding of ZFS, but now
