Servers A is a 2x2GHz Xeon with 4GB Ram and Server B is a 1.8GHz AMD with 2GB Ram. The documentation states about some 60-300msec, so my qestion...

Oggenc problems in apache or cron
I would like to run oggenc on existing wavs through a perl/cgi script in apache 2.0 in OS Linux mandrake 9.1. I have a problem where the script hangs after about 20sec worth of wav, whether it would be 20sec through a 60 sec song or on the second file of a 10sec-a-file batch. The same problem occurs if i run a cron job to encode any found wav files on my hdd. Running the script in shell encodes all songs happily to the end. the command is "oggenc -b 128...

P4 dual core vs AMD64 dual core with HTB
...perience with AMD64 dual core / or single core / for traffic control . I use Deban Linux for my router. Can I expect problems with HTB and iproute 2 over ATHLON DUAL CORE/BOX or single box ? Currently my problem is that i have too big system load over CPU / 60-80%/ and packet dropping. at every 15-20sec i have traffic freeze for 1-2sec. when more users are online. So what is rsync doing in addition that it takes >30 minutes to sync the large filesystem? Thanks R'

Fallback stream not preventing a disconnect
Dear Philipp, I've compiled it from source on my raspberry pi, and replaced the binary from the synaptic package manager with the compiled one. Everyting is working fine now, it seems that there is indeed a "faulty" package in the repository. I don't know who I should contact to get this fixed? Anyway, it works, but while using ogg as output stream from mopidy, I get a delay of

Timeout when MBR found
...would act different when there is no MBR on the first disk, or when there is one. This is useful for instance when there is no MBR (and thus no OS) on the system to automatically show a menu (or even start the installation). But When there is an MBR on the first disk, it could have a timeout of 20sec and then boot the OS anyway. (Or maybe show a different menu ?) With a lua script that provides a config-file, it would be possible to create a different config based on eg. the existence of the MBR to change the behaviour of isolinux completely. So another use-case :) -- -- dag wieers, da...
