Asterisk Disconnecting after 30sec when someone leaving VM
Hello, I have started having a strange problem. Asterisk is connected via 4 analog lines to PSTN and we have SIP phones internally. All was working fine but recently each time a user calls from PSTN and when he is leaving a voicemail for someone, the caller gets disconnected after 30 secs. We have AMP installed. This is reproducible and is happening always. It seems that Asterisk is disconnecting

Drive activity every 30sec
I have a Centos installed on a Hitachi 2.5" drive that shuts off really quickly, it seems. So every 30 sec, the drive makes the sound of an access activity. I have looked trying to find what might be being updated. Swap drive usage is 0 bytes. No activity in /var/log. What might it be and can I do anything to lessen the drive access (improve battery life)?

slow bootloader on Dell R320
Hi all ! Thanks for the very good support of Dell R320 hardware, perc H310 is well supported, BCM5720 seems to work correctly and performances are great. The only problem i have found is very strange. The FreeBSD bootloader take many times to load, 30sec-2minutes to boot the kernel and show the bootloader menu. After that, the system boots properly, at a normal speed. Is there any issue or optimization i can do ? The OpenBSD bootloader doesn't have this problem. Thanks you in advance -- Best regards, Lo?c BLOT, UNIX systems, security and net...

boot timeout problems, e.g. winecfg
I have the problem that every application I start with wine takes about 30 seconds to start. It then prints the following message: > > err:process:__wine_kernel_init boot event wait timed out > As far as I can remember this problem this problem exists since I installed SuSE 11.1 (wine 1.1.10?). I see the problems on both of my machines. E.g. set-up of my desktop: > :~> cat

one ZIL SLOG per zpool?
I have three zpools on a server and want to add a mirrored pair of ssd''s for the ZIL. Can the same pair of SSDs be used for the ZIL of all three zpools or is it one ZIL SLOG device per zpool? -- This message posted from opensolaris.org

Roaming Profiles Load Very Slowly
...hlon 1.32GHz. I have used these clients on a Windows 2003 Server with AD and roaming profiles before and it didn't take anywhere near this amount of time (usually logon was <1Min).All network drives are mapped properly (home and other shares through login.bat) Logoff seems to only take ~30sec and IS storing the information to the server correctly. I have searched and searched through Samba docs and Google, and I just can't find anyone that has a viable solution for me. Does anyone have a suggestion or solution? My smb.conf file is as follows: #======================= Global Set...

about timeouts
...s too are forwarded to 601. On cme I've a timeout X for call-forward noan (no answer) to a specific number on * (5901) that is my x-lite software client. If 5901 is unreacheable the call is forwarded to voicemail (always on *) --> u601 Tests: - - for isdn calls all works great, even if X=30sec - - for voip services: if X=20sec, and 5901 is unreacheable, all works fine; if X=30sec, I've a tear down without voicemail; if X=20sec, but 5901 is logged in, I've a tear down after 7-8 sec on x-lite without wait 20sec+voicemail as configuration. I think there's a problem with * ti...

Re: 5. Re: how to build libspeex_armce.lib ? (patrick andrieux)
...cause if it doesn't know ARM assembly optimizations, who can know ? We may need to include/install something else to use ARM5E_ASM or ARM4_ASM, or maybe this part of speex's code is not finished. I tried to compare both libspeex_armce.lib and hand-built FIXED_POINT build as well. I encoded 30sec and it tooks around 6sec with libspeex_armce.lib (1.1.16) and around 4sec with 1.2beta1. rgds, Patrick >Thanks Patrick. I have done this too. However, it was my impression that >the libspeex_armce.lib was cross-compiled in GCC. Building in VS2005 >doesn't allow you to take advanta...

source questions & intentions to patch: yp-timing & auth
...nk? We are using a cluster of icecast servers as decentralized stream-servers for theartcollider.org project and rely on the yellow-pages protocol to gather information about available streams/servers. Basically I'm interested in (1) making YP timing configurable (more frequent updates <30sec) (2) adding a decentralized authentication mechanism: a user can use the same login for a set of mounts on all servers in the cluster I've tackled (1) already and am pondering (2): The current per-mounpoint auth requires a pre-defined mountpoint as well as sharing the config-file among al...

C8 and NetworkManager problem
...it. On C7 I always disabled it. I noticed some problem: 1) During the boot, also if NetworkManager-wait-online.service status is OK, I noticed that opening a terminal and ping some address it needs some time to perform ping and any operation on a network connection. So seems that in the first 30sec/1min there isn't an available network connection. After this time if I run a ping or whatever network is available. 2) Due to the problem 1, It cannot mount samba shares on boot saying "Not suitable address found". After the network is available I can mount samba shares. 3) I no...

slow load() in R2.6.0
I'm encountering excruciatingly slow load times for character vectors in R 2.6.0-- up to 30sec for a 15K file that contains a no-attributes character vector of length ~1e4 and object size ~0.5MB. In R 2.5.1, repeated loads of the same set of files are near-instantaneous. The problem is proving tricky to reproduce consistently from scratch, so I have attached the 3 files used in the examples...
