GSoC 2012: Backend for Lucene format indexes
...ut my subsequent work prefers C++ codes. This project is very meaningful to smooth the transition. As far as I know, the operation of index file, e.g. IndexReader, has changed quite some (Lucene3.5 File Format<http://lucene.apache.org/core/old_versioned_docs/versions/3_5_0/fileformats.html#Index%20File%20Formats>) , while the idea page itself still linked to an old 3.0 version<http://lucene.apache.org/core/old_versioned_docs/versions/3_0_3/fileformats.html>. Since it doesn't seem a simple work to cope with all the versions, shall we just implement to support the old 3.0 format, or a...

Comparing pooled proportions(complication and reoperation rates) of different treatment modalities
Dear sir/madame, I am currently writing a meta-analysis on the complication and reoperation rates of 5 different treatment modalities after a distal radius fracture. I was able to pool the rates of the 5 different rates using R. Now I have to compare the pooled rates of the 4 treatment modalities with the golden standard separately. I though the chi squared test would be the best method. How do

Just as a general comment, for the patch to go upstream at all it will need to be reformatted so it fits with the existing code style....

The code in your mail in a mangled mess, since you posted in HTML. Please configure your email client to send emails in plain text. A bug report?
Folks, I have a strange situation, which I may have isolated as a bug report. Or, it could just be that there's something about R that I don't know. :-) I have attached the data file and the program file but don't know whether these attachments will make it into the list. Here is my bugreport.R program -- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------
