Deliver core dump in b13 (hg 20080102)
...t.sieve contains just this: redirect "mikkel2 at euro123.dk"; keep; As stated before the e-mail is both forwarded and delivered locally just fine. But the sending account receives this error: "<mikkel at euro123.dk>: Command died with signal 6: "/opt/freeware/dovecot-20080102/libexec/dovecot/deliver"" Also deliver.log shows some errors (shown below). The ?nfs_flush_file_handle_cache_dir? error makes me wonder - seems like it tries to delete the homedir of the accounts maildir storage. Also it seems to me like a minor error since the delivery functions as i...

Is -R --link-dest really hard to use, or is it me?
...pains to hardlink files -across- hosts' backups that were also the same, so I didn't have a zillion copies of the same files that are all shared by most releases and any linux anyway. E.g., in this sort of arrangement: hostA/20080101 hostB/20080101 ... hostF/20080101 ... hostA/20080102 hostB/20080102 ... hostF/20080102 ... dirvish (well, rsync) itself hardlinked files between hostA/20080101 and hostA/20080102 on successive runs, and then -I- ran a tool (faster-dupemerge) that hardlinked identical files between hostA/20080101 and hostB/20080101 (etc). Once this is done a...

is Power fail transfer possible with asterisk?
Hi. I have a client who wants some way that his analog phones can call out even after the power is out and the UPS has died -- some way that a phone can connect directly to an fxo or some such when power is gone. Any hardware around which can do this? I have heard of some ATA's which do this, do any of the channel banks have this capability? Thanks. -- Your life is like a penny.

Redundant timers
Hello. I am on an irrational crusade against unneeded timers (it started as a well-meaining power saving exercise), and I have now started removing polling in Dovecot. Attached is a patch with the work I did on this the other night. Would something like that be acceptable, or should I make it in a different way? There seems to be no one-shot timer support, right? Is there a Dovecot coding

Is that possible and how? THanks, Jerry

yum update download only?
Googling for this feature, I saw reports from the yum developer that it wasn't yet implemented. This was in mailing list posts from a year or more ago. Did it ever make it into the yum code? I want to start downloading the updates for a server going from 5.0 to 5.1 and then do the actual installation once I'm on site. I don't want to have to wait around while there for the
