Campusing two Asterisk boxes?
...d some and I can't seem to find anything which will
answer my question. If I have two Asterisk boxes in different locations which
are linked to each other over the internet, can I configure the boxes to use
each other's lines as local?
In other words, let's say Site A has Phone1
for a 1FB line going into it on an FXO port. Site B has Phone2 for a 1FB
line going into it on an FXO port. Is there a way to configure Site A to
use Phone2 from Site B and vice versa?

Calls not going through
When a call is placed out the Zap interface there is a long pause followed
by an error message from the telco that the call can not be placed as
dialed.
We have a tdm2413e with 11 1FB (POTS) lines. The number being dialed is a
working local number, all dialed numbers get the same error.
What should we be looking for ?

Calling Number Verification Number? for BellSouth/AT&T
BellSouth (now AT&T) has a number you can dial and it will play back
voice prompts with your calling number? It's used by their techs with a
buttset in identifying analog 1FB lines...
Eg Dial 704-210-3233, it answers
"Seven-Zero-Four-Five-Five-Nine-Two-One-Two-Two" if your dialing from
704-559-2122

Asterisk International Carrier Buildout - Create our own International networks for BEST pricing!

First, if this is the wrong mail list, please ignore
this post.
I have built my own Asterisk server and would like to
participate in any sort of nationwide effort to build
an alternative to LD carriers. I only have a couple
of B1 (1FB) lines to use right now, but if I could
learn
how to make money terminating my Asterisk server in a
network of other Asterisk servers I could upgrade to a
PRI and provide access to my local calling area
bypassing the LD carriers. But honestly, I don't know
where to start.

[OT] Centrex Question
I haven't dealt with Centrex for a long time, and one of my customers is
being courted heavily by a Sprint salesperson.
Am I not correct in assuming that each "line" of Centrex corresponds to
an "extension" in the PBX world?
This site has 2 POTS lines and 5 extensions, and they told me that for
the same thing they're paying right now (~$40/POTS line) they will be
