centos6 filesystem size limit
I just read the rhel6 filesystem size limit.
http://www.redhat.com/rhel/compare/
It says 16TB limit for ext4 (same as ext3)?!?! I thought ext4 was
supposed to support 1EB ( ~ 1 million TB) limit. That was one of the
main advantages of rhel6. After a little more digging all I found was
that the user space formatting tools (mkfs.ext4) only support 32bit
filesystems (not 48bits). I'm surprised about this, I thought people
would be waiting for >16TB support in rh...

Filesystem size limitation?
I'm new to dovecot, nice to meet you guys here.
Referring to Redhat, 32bit Linux v5 GFS supports 16TB filesystem size while 64bit version supports 8 EB (1EB = 1024TB) size.
Reference: http://www.redhat.com/rhel/compare/
My question is, any limitation on a single filesystem (Redhat GFS) that Dovecot can handle? or Dovecot depends only on the limitation of OS?
Thanks in advance!

large files
I'm reposting this problem (perhaps a bug) now I've got more information on
it. This is another point of view of the situation and I hope someone could
have run into the same trouble before (and solved it :-))
This is it:
* with ntbackup 2000 I create a 22Gb .bkf file in the windows machine.
* I can copy that file over a samba share and get correct info form the
file in windows

I need storage server advice
Hi:
I need advice on implementing a storage server. I really do not have
the $ to spend for a Dell iSCSI storage divice and I am thinking
trunning CentOS 5.x with ftp or FreeNAS. Here is what I am looking at
and concerned about.
Situation:
My current storage needs are approximately 1.5 TB annually. This will
increase to about 3.5 TB annually over the next 5 years (rough est.).
