Centos7 USB wifi recommendation
I am looking for one of those very small USB wifi adapters for the server I am working on. I am tired of dealing with the 4" long TP-LINK I have and for my purposes, one of those little 1cm ones would do. But which work with Linux? When I was last in the store, only the TP-LINK said it was supported on Linux... thanks

[R-pkgs] New package: `lavaan' for latent variable analysis (including structural equation modeling)
Hi Yves lavaan looks like a very nice package. From the tutorial introduction I see you create path diagrams for some of the models you describe. How did you do this? I don't see a function for this in the package. I know there is a path.diagram function in the sem package that uses dot to draw the diagram, but I've always found the layouts from dot somewhat strange for path diagrams

tftp-hpa server hooks to external programs
Hello tftp-hpa community, I am trying to locate a tftp server that I can integrate with an external program/database application, and was wondering if tftp-hpa might have the capability I am looking for. Upon the tftp server receiving a read request, and before it sending a read request reply, I would like to communicate to an external program (and/or database). In real-time, the external

formatting tables with long column names via package:xtable within Sweave
Hi, I use the excellent Sweave tools for writing documents but was wondering how to neatly print a data.frame with long column headings. I cant manage to do this via package:xtable. Typically the labels that I would like use for each column consist of more than one word, but even with just one word, the heading is often wider than the contents of the column. So the number of columns that fits

Bugreport on integration of Sweave and latex beamer
I think I have isolated a problem with integration between Sweave and beamer. Could you please see the file: http://www.mayin.org/ajayshah/tmp/bugdemo.Rnw Unfortunately, it uses some of my internal libraries, so you can't run it. When I put it through Sweave, I get: http://www.mayin.org/ajayshah/tmp/bugdemo.tex which is, of course, a generic latex file which you can read and

Crossover cable for E1 ?
I'm looking to connect a BMC 450 to an asterisk with a Digium Quad E1 card. Am I right in thinking that I'll need a special 'crossover-E1' RJ45 cable? If so, any clues where I might buy one in the UK? The Digium card sellers don't seem to stock such a thing. Thanks. Tim. Tim Panton - Web/VoIP consultant and implementor www.westhawk.co.uk

how to plot a nice legend?
i'd like to plot a legend in my diagram. The diagram will be included in a TikZ LaTeX document later. I tried the legend() function, but - it can not find a good place it self where the legend fits and playing around with coordinates and scaling consumes a lot time - standard settings for the text need adjustment (linespacing is quite large and so on) Is there an alternative to
