autoexpunge wildcard mailbox from userdb
Was excited to see that wildcards are now possible on autoexpunge in the
2.2.24 release.
However I'm trying to configure these from the userdb lookup and it
doesn't appear to be working.
if I set in 15-mailboxes.conf
mailbox Trash/* {
...
autoexpunge = 10m
}
everything works..
however if I return
=namespace/inbox/mailbox/Trash/*/autoexpunge=10m
via userdb - it does not.
Logs say:
Debug: Unknown userdb setting:
plugin/namespace/inbox/mailbox/Trash/*/autoexpunge=10m
Is what I am trying to do even possible?
Thanks

Spatstat help - quadratcount query
...of size 15m x 15m
so I did the following:
>q15<-quadratcount(p15,nx=26,ny=21).
However, when I look at the data for quadrat counts it seems the
function is not keeping the size of the quadrats constant, but is
instead varying the width of the quadrats (in both the x and y
direction) between 10m and 20m, meaning that some quadrats are 10m x 10m
and some are four times the size (20m x 20m) (I have pasted some of the
output below to demonstrate). This is quite concerning as I am trying
to ascertain the scale of variation in my point pattern density - I
cannot do this if the quadrat scale do...

[Help] quota_rule with LDAP backend, dovecot-1.1.1
Hi, all.
I use dovecot-1.1.1 with OpenLDAP as userdb. but i failed to convert
quota value as expect.
I set '10' as mail quota, and it should be '10M' as expect, but it's
not effect, dovecot always uses 'quota_rule' setting in dovecot.conf.
How can i fix this issue? 10*1047576?
I have 'mailQuota' attr in ldap schema, such as:
----8<----
mailQuota: 10 # <- 10M
----8<----
My dovecot-ldap.conf:

increasing memory size
Dear R people,
I wonder if some kind person can tell me the correct syntax to set the
R_VSIZE environmental variable. I tried R_VSIZE = 10M in ~/.Renviron and
also export R_VSIZE = 10M. These don't seem to work. I scrounged around
looking for details about this, couldn't find any, got fed up.
Faheem.

I am trying to upload into R 143 Affymetrix chips onto using R on the NIH

I have expanded the memory of R as follows: R --min-vsize=10M

Wichmann-Hill Random Number Generator and the Birthday Problem
Dear all,
Recently I am generating large random samples (10M) and any duplicated
numbers are not desired.
We tried several RNGs in R and found Wichmann-Hill did not produce
duplications.
The duplication problem is the interesting birthday problem. If there are
M possible numbers, randomly draw N numbers from them,
the average number of dupilcations D = N...

ZFS on Linux
I am planning to use ZFS on my Centos 5.2 systems. The data I am
storing is very large text files where each file can range from 10M to
20G. I am very interested on the compression feature of ZFS, and it
seems no other native Linux FS supports it.
My question are: Is ZFS stable? How does it scale for very large
filesytems, ie, 2TB to 9TB? How is the performance of fuse? I plan to
use it on my archive server first, so data relia...

Network pause issue.
...es my connection to it. It's still up. I can't ping it over the "pause time" with 0% packet loss. Any TCP connection over the link just pauses for a while. The odd thing is it doesn't timeout. In an SSH session to the box over the tinc link I'll type "ps -ef" and 10m later I'll get the response. SSH should timeout way before then so I'm not sure what's going on. It's not like that all the time. I get maybe 15-30m when it's working just fine and then 10m of network pause. While my SSH session is paused I can see that the app on the server is...

It seems that --vsize is ignored. I check R/bin/check, the
