Best UPS protocol for home-made firmware?
...ne for me to implement in my controller. The megatec driver seems to be one of the most popular but I can't find much documentation about the protocol. In addition I'm wondering how much NUT looks at various parameters like input / battery / line voltage, since in my case it would be 12-18V and not the more common 110/230V. :-) Once finished I plan to open-source my firmware (written in a mix of C/C++ for the Arduino IDE for AVR microcontrollers) and document my build for all to see. Thanks, Chris

Polycom Power
...would work on the 301. How do I get the PoE to work? Do I use the Polycom PoE cable in addition to whatever PoE injection method I use? I have a Cisco PoE injector that works on my Cisco AP350 and my 7960. No combination of this injector, the Polycom cable, and the phone result in success. I have 18v PoE injectors that I use for other things, but I hear that 802.3af is 48v, therefore probably wouldn't work. How do I use Polycom PoE? -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL: http://lists.digium.com/pipermail/asterisk-users/attachments/20070329...

Tripplite Smart Int 1000 - wrong numbers
...ecisions to make distinct serial wiring for each and every UPS type from each and every manufacturer!) I use [tripplite] driver for NUT and I can use upsc to get report from UPS, but some of these numbers are nonsense. For example battery.voltage??? 13.4 (the UPS has 3x6V batteries in serial = 18V and it would never drop so low IMO when the UPS claims battery.charge is 99% that I also consider suspicious, after few minutes of charging from seriously depleted state, but the batteries are not new either) input frequency seems OK at 50,2Hz, but input.voltage (both with maximum and minimum)...

24V DC ATX PSU with limited UPS functionality over USB
Hello Developers and *, I am working on a "24V DC ATX PSU" for Photopholtaik Systems which can have input voltages from 18V to 27.7 Volt and is entirely modular, which mean, you can select the desired module/s (up to 6) from ATX (96/144/240/300W), P4 (144W), SATA (82/305W) and Device (34/68/136W) And last not least, I want to build a "PowerWhatch" module which should be connected from the PSU to an internal U...

OT: Grandstream power supplies..
Hi, Quick question to all the electronics gurus out there.. I unpacked my second GS phone yesterday (had it for about a month!) and set it up.. This morning the power supply is dead.. I have looked for a new one online (In the UK using Maplin let me know if you know a better place.) becasue it would probbaly take too long to get one sent from China or the US and I need to get that station
