Any help?
btw., the problem appeared when I installed a 18TB raid array. I had
to compile the e2fsprogs from the most recent sources using this
recipe

Storage Recommendations
Hello,
We are going to buy some NFS storage for 6-8 VMs on a single host, but
want to expand to a second host.
What storage recommendations would you give if you have between 2000
and 5000 USD?
How about nexenta? what hardware would you use? any vendor?
Experiences with openfiler and opennas?
Thanks for the responses.

ZFS on Linux
I am planning to use ZFS on my Centos 5.2 systems. The data I am
storing is very large text files where each file can range from 10M to
20G. I am very interested on the compression feature of ZFS, and it
seems no other native Linux FS supports it.
My question are: Is ZFS stable? How does it scale for very large
filesytems, ie, 2TB to 9TB? How is the performance of fuse? I plan to
use it on my

ext4 in CentOS 5.6?
I'm sure many are running ext4 FS's in production, but just want to be
re-assured that there are not currently any major issues before
starting a new project that looks like it will be using ext4.
I've previously been using xfs but the software for this project
requires ext3/ext4.
I'm always very cautious before jumping onto a new FS, (new in the
sense it is officially supported

home directory server performance issues
I?m looking for advice and considerations on how to optimally setup
and deploy an NFS-based home directory server. In particular: (1) how
to determine hardware requirements, and (2) how to best setup and
configure the server. We actually have a system in place, but the
performance is pretty bad---the users often experience a fair amount
of lag (1--5 seconds) when doing anything on their home
