MGE Pulsar EX1500 RT comms problem
...i,
I have the above UPS connected to a FreeBSD 6.2 box and it shows 'data
stale' very frequently (every few minutes).
I have tried the usual trick of setting maxage, poll interval, etc etc
but to no avail.
When I wind up logging I see (on mge-shut)

1800 Provider
Hi list,
I'm interested in receiving incoming call to my Asterisk PBX thru an 1800 number. Anybody knows a provider with best minute rate? I heard that that Nufone can provide this service for around 3cents/min for calls made within 48 continental states. Any provider that can give better rate, even with additional limitation such as much few states that a call can originate?...

Problem with predict and lines in plotting binomial glm
...l deviance is much larger than the residual degrees of freedom) therefore I am using the quasibinomial family, thus the y-variable is a matrix of successes and failures (20 trials for every sample, thus each y-variable row counts up to 20).

Dell PowerEdge 1800 and TE410P
Hi,
I've been asked to find a server that is capable of running the Digium
TE410P card. We usually get Dell PE servers and after a quick look I
think the PE 1800 has the required slot:
Six Total: 2 PCI Express (x8 lane & x4 lane); 2 x 64-bit/100MHz PCI-X; 1
x 32-bit/33MHz PCI (5v) and 1 x 64-bit/66MHz PCI
Has anyone got this hardware, does it work with the card and asterisk?
Thanks,
Niall

doveadm backup mdbox - initial copy slow
...in the following example, it seems to flush every email to disk
maxing out harddrives (iops) and resulting in very poor performance:
Calling doveadm -o plugin/quota= backup -u "statusmails at domain.com" "mdbox:/backup/vmail/domain.com/statusmails"
finished in 212 secs [changes:1800 copy:1800 delete:0 expunge:0]
The source mdbox holds 1800 small emails and uses about 20 MB disk space only.
I've tried -f (full sync) and -l 30 (locking the mailbox) which did not get faster, nor did doveadm sync -1.
When using doveadm import all mails are copied in less than 3 seconds:

It seems that in the US we are getting "Pulsar EX 1500" UPSs but locally we
buy "Pulsar 1500". NUT seems to work find with the later but the former loses
communication very often.
When it loses comms I see stuff like this..
