Hi Guys I am currently moving my home network to xubuntu/ubuntu/linux from windows/mac os. I Have a PC in the lounge which is now set up and running mythbuntu 8.10, an eeepc (running xandros to get my wife to convert from mac os) and an imac 17inch 1.25ghz g4 in the kitchen which will eventualy run xubuntu. So far I have the network setup and I can see all shares on all machines BUT I can only print when the imac is switched on. The printer is not connected directly to the Imac it is connected to my BT Home Hub via an Edimax ps-1206mf print...

I might be buying a Mac tomorrow. I checked out the new 13.3in MacBook at the new Apple Store on 5th ave in NYC. I''m torn between the smaller MacBook and the MacBook Pro. We have a pro at work and I''m not that thrilled with the way it feels. I like the keyboard much better on the 13inch. I got a new 20 inch iMac dual core today and am busy getting it all setup. A couple of issues though: 1. Is the Ruby 1.8.2 install by Apple still botched or has that been fixed? I recall someone had fixed the rbconfig.rb to get it working. Is this something I still have to do? 2. Does anyone know if Locomotive is using the uniersal binaries, or is it targetting PPC yet?
