embedding link_to''s as part of rendered text.
Hi, I''d like to be able to do a database query, fetch some text, and add an ''Accept Request'' and ''Deny Request'' within the text. Both of these would be links so if the user were to click on them, they would essentially send POST requests back to the server. Since this is dynamic, I wanted to know the safest/best approach in embedding these links

[ntp:questions] Keeping NTP Honest
...ing, that's US$700 in power per year. If you can save 50% of that by shutting down idle servers for 12 hours per day, that's $350+ in savings per server. Say my data center has 50 servers, which is small by industry standards. If I can shut 40 of them down for 12 hours a day, that's US$17500 in instant savings for my company. If you have 1000 servers, like many organizations, that's $350K in savings for very little effort. There is also the positive environmental impact of burning less coal, the possibility of tax credits, vendor bonuses, and good feelings. It's a trade secret...

[Bug 1118] New: nft: nft -f and nft list ruleset use different sets of service -> port mappings
...list to convert the service names back to port numbers when loading a configuration through nft -f <config file>. This can therefore cause problems if the service list in /etc/services does not match what is hard-coded in the nft binary. For example, the Dropbox LAN sync service (db-lsp) on 17500/tcp is found in services.c, but not in the system default /etc/services on an up-to-date (2017-02-06) Gentoo installation, resulting in a broken configuration when using nft list ruleset to generate the file. It will also cause inconsistent state if any of the default ports were modified in a syste...

Asterisk and Linphone
Hi all - I am using asterisk 13.27.0 with Linphone. I turned off all codes on linphone except the one I want to try. For example: opus and speex (so only one enabled at a time). Then did this same on asterisk for the linphone extension. disallow=all allow=speex (for example). Then I place my call and the call fails. if I enable something like gsm, ulaw, alaw the call works fine. Why does the

Oracle 9.2.0.6 on Solaris 10
How can I tell if this is normal behaviour? Oracle imports are horribly slow, an order of magnitude slower than on the same hardware with a slower disk array and Solaris 9. What I can look for to see where the problem lies? The server is 99% idle right now, with one database running. Each sample is about 5 seconds. I''ve tried setting kernel parameters despite the docs saying that
