[LLVMdev] Problem of running data structure analysis (DSA) on Linux kernel
Hi,
I ran into a problem when running DSA on Linux kernel (the Kernel
version I used is
2.4.31). The analysis was aborted when it tried to do
DSNode::mergeTypeInfo on some data structure in the kernel. I have
filed a bug report at http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=1656.
My question is what version of Linux kernel LLVM has been tested on
successfully? To run DSA analysis, should I use the latest version of
llvm and poolalloc or should I checkout a particular version?
thanks

logit regression, test among groups
...dance of 3 species and light is subcanopy light
availability varying from 0 1.
I want to test differences among levels of the quantitative variable at a
value of x other than the current log(light)=0. I tried using
I(log(light+.5)) but this caused serious lack of fit (AIC went from 1574 to
1656, and diagnostic plots demonstrated poor fit). How would create a model
statement such that I test differences among groups at log(light)=approx. 2?
Many thanks.

DID to hunt group?
...GW)
ring to 4 extensions in a hunt (roll-over) group.
Results from searching docs and forums seem to indicate it is doable
and so trivial no one includes an actual example.
I can make all 4 exts ring at once with the like of

exten => _1655,2,Dial(SIP/1655&SIP/1656&SIP/1657&SIP/1658)
exten => _1655,3,Hangup()
exten => _1655,103,Congestion()
but I want to ring the 1st ext, if it is busy then ring the 2nd, etc...
I am trying to emulate a 10-line 20 phone key system.
The end user does not like all the phones ringing at once.
I have tried lots...

[LLVMdev] how to build eglibc using llvm-gcc without unsupported -fno-toplevel-reorder
...re there any other issues?
Take a look at gcc's implementation. They need to keep the order of
every definition they see. It also has other issues:
1654 /* Output all functions, variables, and asm statements in the order
1655 according to their order fields, which is the order in which they
1656 appeared in the file. This implements -fno-toplevel-reorder. In
1657 this mode we may output functions and variables which don't really
1658 need to be output. */

Slow on one client Win7 program
Got one program that is running very, very slow on version 3.6.8.
Using SMB2, logging level 3 I saw a lot of these:
[2012/09/24 23:44:43.824970, 3] smbd/smb2_read.c:356(smb2_read_complete)
smbd_smb2_read: fnum=[8523/filename] length=2 offset=1656 read=2

fcntl_getlock: fd 34 is returned info 2 pid 0
Seems the files are read in chunks of 2 bytes a call.
Most of the files the program is reading are a few Mb,
so why is it only reading 2 bytes at a time?
In ver 3.6.7 I made a f...
