lib.fixup, .GlobalEnv, and R1.5.0 (PR#1556)
Full_Name: Mark Bravington
Version: 1.5.0
OS: Windows 2000
Submission from: (NULL) (140.79.2.3)
In R1.3.1, I used the following code inside a function to set a "path" attribute
to .GlobalEnv:
env_ pos.to.env( 1)
attr( env, 'path')_ .Path # .Path is a named char vector of length 1
.Internal( lib.fixup( env, .GlobalEnv)) # adds the attribute
And this works fine. But in

lib.fixup
My previous post mentions a problem encountered when calling ".Internal(
lib.fixup..." in R1.5.0. I have since found a workaround. It's possible in
R1.5.0 to set attributes of search path environments directly, like so:
> env_ pos.to.env( 3)
> attr( env, 'any.attr')_ 'any.value'
> pos.to.env( 3)
<environment: package:tcltk>

Err. That would be a *really* bad idea. See the l0phtcrack
source for details :-).
Seriously, though. The password hashes used on NT are very
poor. They don't use salt and people are now

This will print -1 or 1, depending on the optimization level.
This appears to be the relevant code:
InstCombineAddSub.cpp:1556

Password Hashes
In einer eMail vom 30.08.98 05:55:16 (MEZ) - Mitteleurop. Sommerzeit schreibt
samba@samba.anu.edu.au:
<< # export SMBPASSWD='mypasswd'
# gethash
74AC99CA40DED4204A3B108F3FA6CB6D:F671043BA08E88500D2EB5279AC65E53 >>
This is nice. Every other user on the system can see that hash with ps. I
would not call that extended security.

I can see messages like this in log:

Samba domain with non-domain Win98
I have a samba domain. Also there are some machines which are not in
domain. I need to create share for full access for these machines.
I've tried this:
[common_share]
path = /path/to/dir
browseable = yes
writeable = yes
guest ok = yes
force user = ftp
force group = ftp
But when I'm trying to connect to this share I've been asked for
password to IPC$.
Can anybody help?
