Samba DC join fails - IPv4/IPv6 issue
...nately even if the client is configured without IPv6 address (see
further down below) samba-tool still tries to address the DC's LDAP

Compiling kernel/drivers for hw RocketRaid 1640
I picked up a RocketRaid 1640 card b/c it had support for "RedHat".

understood from someone in one of the RH/clone IRC channels.)
It turns out...

Tcl8.0.4 missing function?! (PR#1640)
I just realised that the return address in my recent bug report probably
won't work... Here it is once more:
I compiled the latest R release. Configure correctly found my Tcl/Tk 8.0.4
installation (it searched in various tcl8.0 and tk8.0 places). However,
when:
>library(tcltk)

progressive slowdown during script execution?
I'm an R novice, so I hope my question is a valid one. I'm trying to
run the following script in the current version of R.

if (i == 1 && j == 2){x <- cor(sage[i,],sage[j,],method="spearman"); y

CentOS 6.5 printer weirdness...
Ok, it is consistent and repeatable:
*Everytime* I do a routine 'yum update' on the CentOS 6.5 server (64-bit) the
printers (both of them networked laser printers, one an [old] HP Laserjet 4200

# Error in gsub("a", "", "\U3e3965", perl = TRUE) :

The error message in the second command seems to come from
src/main/grep.c:1640 (in do_gsub):
if (!utf8Valid(s)) error(("input string %d is invalid UTF-8"), i+1);
utf8Valid() relies on valid_utf8() from PCRE, whose behavior is
described in src/extra/pcre/pcre_valid_utf8.c.
Even more problematic/interesting is the fact that iconv() does not
consider the above char...
