Hello John,
I think your problem is that Windows 95 does not always ask for or display
the file using the same case that it is stored. Try creating files of
varying case in a MS-DOS prompt and watch how Explorer displays them. So
in order to preserve the case of your files and still let Windows read it
you must use "case sensitive = no" as well. Ahhh... I don't know
about
the rest of you, but I love having to work around MS's problems =(.
As I believe Jeremy Allison just pointed out, to emulate an NT server's
case treatment use:
case sensitive = no
short preserve case = yes
preserve case = yes
