It was just brought to my attention that the RPATH configuration isn't uniform among the libraries produced by the release. Some use $ORIGIN../lib/ and others have none. Is this by design? It seems like it might be ideal for all of them to be configured the same way. If that makes sense I'll create a corresponding feature request. $ for f in

From what I can see all of the libraries without RPATH are runtime libraries that are used by binaries compiled with Clang. I think they don't have a dependency on other libraries in that directory, so what would be the advantage of having RPATH set on them? libc++.so should be a linker script that automatically pulls in libc++abi (see "Failed to read file header" in your output). And IIRC libc++abi is only one possible implementation that may be used by libc++, but I'm no expert here... [LLVMdev] [cfe-dev] 3.6.2-rc1 has been tagged. Testers needed.
Hi, I've taken a look at the binary tarballs for clang+llvm-3.6.2-rc1-* that have been uploaded and observed the following: * All uploaded tarballs include the generated CMake files apart from ``clang+llvm-3.6.2-rc1-x86_64-linux-gnu-ubuntu-14.04.tar.xz``. These files (share/llvm/cmake/*.cmake) are missing in this tarball. * Inside the Ubuntu tarball the directory is not consistently named

upgrading icecast to 2.4.1
Just wondering, are the commands to upgrade icecast 2.3.2 to icecast version 2.4.1 the same in Ubuntu 12.04 as they are in Ubuntu 14.04? I do have Ubuntu 14.04 and I have tried the bash script but modified the links a little bit to reflect the Ubuntu 14.04 distro, but keep getting errors and got an invalid extension in /etc/apt/sources.list.d On 2/23/2015 9:46 AM, "Thomas B.

Done that and all works... Thanks. and I could still use my old config file with all of my settings in it? Because that is what I'm still using now. On 2/25/2015 12:22 PM, "Thomas B. Pre-built binary LLVM 3.9.1 for Ubuntu 14.04 is missing
Hi, I'm Ryo Ota. According to http://releases.llvm.org/download.html, Pre-built binary LLVM 3.9.1 for Ubuntu 14.04 is missing. In other versions(=4.0.0, 3.9.0, 3.8.1,...), pre-built binaries for Ubuntu 14.04 are available. I was wondering if someone would make pre-built binary of 3.9.1 for Ubuntu 14.04. [6.0.0 Release] The final tag is in
Dear testers, The final version of 6.0.0 has just been tagged from the branch after r326550. It has the same contents as -rc3 modulo release notes and one small x86 fix (r326393). Please build the final binaries and upload to the sftp. For those following along: this means llvm-6.0.0 is complete, but it will take a few days to get all the tarballs ready and published on the web page. I will

He was suggesting to upgrade to 15.10 if you needed the newer fortran for some reason (or other newer things only in backports or not even there). I also mostly run LTS versions of Ubuntu, especially in my research group where I manage our cloud/servers. Which also matches the computer cluster available to me. That said I also stick to the stock packages for all the basic underlying libraries

Repository for latest Samba 3.x packaged for Ubuntu Trusty 14.04?
Greetings, 10 years ago, I utilized Samba official repositories for Debian Sarge to always run the latest Samba code while the Samba PDC support stabilized. I am not quite ready yet for the Active Directory world. Ubuntu Trusty 14.04 is the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version. It comes with Samba 4.x code. Is there a repository with packages regularly maintained for Ubuntu Trusty 14.04 of
