Some questions about PCI-passthrough for HVM(Non-IOMMU)
...quot;. If a disk read error occurs during the boot of the HVM domain, the host''s filesystem will appear to be inconsistent. So there is surely some problems with the nativedom(Neo-1to1) part in the current diret-io.hg subtree. The author has memtioned that on x86-32, the memory 0-12M is mapped to 16-28M, and if any devices DMA at 0-12M, crashes may occur. Is it possible that the dead-lock problem and the "Device 768(vbd) could not be connected" problem during booting are caused by the mapping? This is just the one part of the problem. Another problem is that...

Slow fsck on adaptec SAS/SATA raid
...initial periods of the fsck I see throughput in the 30-70MB/s range (ie, <0.4% complete). Shortly after that throughput tanks and stays there. Just a rough extrapolation of the size of my filesystem (3.4TB used; ~95%) makes it look like this will take ~28 days to complete. I'm using approx 12M inodes out of my 243M available. -Doug -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... xen dire-map area
Hell all, I am doing some research work on protecting Xen''s data structures. I know there is a direct-map area(about 12M), in which we can get the physical address of the data structure from its virtual address. My question is : are the stack and the heap of Xen both located in this direct-map area? Since I need protect stack and heap data, so it is easy to identify their physical addresses if they are both in this...
