Echo Problem with T411P
Hello, There are 3 PRI's connected to the card each from different operators. Especially echo occured on span 3 is really annoying. Configuration files are as follows. Is there something wrong in conf ? Zapata.conf -------------------------- [channels] context=default switchtype=euroisdn usecallerid=yes hidecallerid=no callwaiting=yes usecallingpres=yes callwaitingcallerid=yes

Patton smartnode 463x (BRI) 25ms tail echo cancellation
...p cards that provide 64ms tail EC. For several reasons we'd like to switch to external BRI gateways like the Patton smartnodes (the price is getting really close to a B410p). I'm however curious about their HW EC. I see in the datasheets that it only has 25ms tail per channel (pri are 128ms, but not BRI). Are some of you using these gateway and do your experience (many) echo problems on calls ? Our other alternative is to use sangoma cards that have 128ms HW EC and seem more stable overall, but it is yet a bit more expensive. Thanks for your feedback. Regards, Gaetan

Questions on hardware or software-based echo cancellation
...'m having some questions related to echo cancellation configuration on a Digium board enabled systems (B410P, TE420, TE420B, ....) for cases when a hardware ech canceller is present or not. I read in TEXXX manual that when setting echocancel=yes in chan_dahdi.conf on a VPMOCT64-equiped system, 128ms hardware echo cancellation was enabled. 1. I'm correct thinking that it is then impossible to switch from hardware to software echo can without removing the VPMOCT64 module itself ? 2. Does the same also apply to HA8 and its VPMOCT032 module ? 3. Are the only options for OSLEC configuration th...

TE411P Really Bad Echo
I just implemented a system using a TE411P hardware echo cancellation card. Per Digium, I setup zaptel.conf, and zapata.conf the same way as I always have. To my surprise calls out to the PSTN had a terrible echo. 1 - 2 second delay, and quite clear. The echo was so bad that I had to remove the hardware echo cancellation module from the card. We are only using the 1st span of this card right

New Digium TE207P for sale
...e TE207P is a bundling of our leading TE205P product and our new VPMOCT064 Octasic DSP-based echo cancellation module. The TE207P is Digium's and the industry's first two-port digital card featuring hardware-based echo cancellation. The new module enables users to eliminate echo tails up to 128ms or 1024 taps across all 64 channels in E1 mode or 48 channels in T1/J1 modes. Further, this module takes advantage of the Octasic Voice Quality Enhancement to provide superior sound quality on all calls. Digium has designed the TE207P to be fully compatible with existing software applications and...

TE420P/TE415P?
Hi, I just read a pressrelease from VON that Digium will soon be releaseing a couple of new cards. What got me interested was: "The TE420P and TE415P support 128ms of G.168 (2002)-compliant echo cancellation across their entire 128 channels." Does anyone know when thease will be released and what they will cost when released? Thanks! http://pressroom.pulvermedia.com/digium/pr.php#0314c Regards, jan

High delay from Asterisk as PSTN simulator
I'm trying to use Asterisk as a PSTN simulator to run performance tests for echo cancellation algorithms. I'm using the following configuration: SIP <-----> Asterisk 1 <----> Asterisk 2 <----> Echo() Asterisk 1 and Asterisk 2 are connected using E1. Echo() is the dialplan application. The problem is the high delay using this configuration: 20 ms only in Asterisk 2.

Octasic echo cancellation
Hi, I'm currently testing SoftEcho, an echo cancellation software for Asterisk from Octasic. I noticed an important increase of the quality of my coms, but I still have a few echo problems. There is an ERL parameter which corresponds to an initial ERL value probably to optimize the echo training or something in that kind. Is there a way to monitor, using one of the zttools, the instant

Is this echo problem down to IP Phone hardware?
Hello I have a Grandstream GXP2000 with latest firmware. When I use it holding the handpiece I don't hear any echo - neither does other end. However, if I use it handsfree, the other end notices echo when they speak - ie their voice is echoy. I hear their voice being a bit echoy. Is this purely down to the IP Phone? Is there anything I can do about it? I considered buying a more

Problem with new AEX800 card dying because of interrupt problems
Hello I purchased an AEX800 card to replace the ageing cheap channel bank/T1 card solution a few months ago, assuming that it would be a more robust solution for my small scale phone system. However, it appears to be anything but that. Originally implemented as a XEN dom-u virtual machine on a large server class machine, using PCI passthrough to pass the AEX800 and a small older TDM400, then
